Inhofe: EPA 'punting' regs until after election that 'spell doom' for jobs, economy
Fox News ^ | October 21, 2012

Republican Sen. James Inhofe says the Environmental Protection Agency has delayed action or “punted” on numerous regulations while President Obama tries to “earns votes” for a second term.

The Oklahoma senator and ranking Republican on the chamber’s Committee on Environment and Public Works has released a report stating that when the agency approves the roughly one dozen regulations next year in 2013, they will “spell doom” for jobs and economic growth.

“The Obama-EPA plans to move full speed ahead to implement this agenda if President Obama wins a second term,” Inhofe writes. “These rules taken together will inevitably result in the elimination of millions of American jobs, drive up the price of gas at the pump even more, impose construction bans on local communities and essentially shut down American oil, natural gas and coal production.”

The 14-page report cites pending regulations on a wide range of environmental-economic issues including those on power plant emissions and hydraulic fracturing.

The report concluded that pending overall regulations on greenhouse gases if enacted would cost $300 billion to $400 billion annual and significantly increase the price of gasoline and home heating.

“The requirements are so strict they virtually eliminate coal as a fuel option for future electric power generation,” the report states. “In a thinly veiled political move, the agency has put off finalizing the proposal until after the election.”

Good post and I especially agree with the very last of it, “I can assure that the EPA will be with us until the earth is no more.”

Perhaps “We The People” have to go after our elected representatives, as a start, to go to work on gutting the EPA by stripping it of it's rule making authority. Impress upon our representatives that they have to take back their law making authority from the whims of the EPA and the executive branch.

I realize that's easier said than done but it would be a start.

Imagine that..... who would have thought that the E.P.A. ( a government agency mind you ) would be a part of Obama's 2012 re-election campaign.....

Isn't there election campaign laws and regulations that someone can't use government resources for their campaigns ?
Is the E.P.A. breaking any campaign laws by doing this ?

I have very close knowledge of one rule that was due to be published on October 1 and is now on hold for a year. It is not a noxious rule but has been stymied after being rushed to the October 1 deadline.

Gas will drop 30 to 50 cents over the next couple of weeks. The NY Fed has been driving the futures down for over a month.

We know Obama’s disdain for laws he doesn't agree with and I'm sure his lapdog Lisa Jackson is no different, plus the turkey Holder running the DOJ has their back.

Guaranteed depression and civil strife if zero wins. EPA will also try to make ammo illegal.
Better make note of Obama signs in your neighborhood. We all know that the 0-drones are unprepared and will be at your doorstep when the SHTF.

The GOP should have been doing more to stop this crap. How many bills passed by voice votes in the past 4 years?

Yep, we need more in the GOP like Inhofe and Issa and that will probably take time. If we take control of the Senate we'll at least be a little better off because these millions losing jobs if Obama's reelected are going to be making a lot of noise.

Doesn’t Congress have any oversight on these dictorial gevernment departments? Can the EPA just do the heck whatever they choose to do, without any opposition from Congress? It seems that Congress should have the freedom to nix anything the EPA may decide to do?

All romney has to do is look at WV. Coal miners and railroad employees who haul the coal have already been let go. The EPA closed the mines. The EPA is not waiting, they already started.
