The half-witted nincompoops already did it in 2004, and just published the study about it:

Fertilizing oceans with iron dust helps sink carbon: study

I’ve seen that chart and I agree, too little CO2 is much more dangerous than too much. We have to consider the fact that the earth was CO2 starved in the past million years or so. It is one of the reasons that grasses evolved (they can thrive in low CO2 conditions).

Do you have a link (site) for that graph? I’d love to have it to pass around.

“Iron fertilization is contentious because it is associated with geoengineering, a set of proposed strategies for counteracting global warming through the deliberate manipulation of the environment. Many experts have argued that scientists should be researching such geoengineering techniques — like spewing compounds into the atmosphere to reflect more sunlight or using sophisticated machines to remove carbon dioxide from the air. UNQUOTE”

I thought the way to fix global warming was to take American taxpayer dollars and give them to 3rd world tinpot dictators in exchange for letting US companies to continue to pollute the environment and call it CO2.

It’s from “Watts Up With That?” — the article comes with other graphs too, as well as a clear explanation.

Most people don’t know this idea has been around at least 25 years. It waspromoted as far back as the 80s, by a guy who said “give me half a tanker of iron ore and I’ll give you a new ice age”.

I wonder if these idiots understand what an ice age would do to us. It would destroy the United States ability to be the world’s leader in agriculture. Starvation would result.

It would probably hit Europe worse than us.

I bet they were outraged .... they hadn’t been advised in advance so they could prepare the results of the experiment in advance .... global warming for sure!

I worked in a shop that had a MSDS for “Iron Castings” saying it was a hazardous material.

More like, they threw a fit. From what I've seen of them they're allergic to doers.

One is rampantly exploitivly free and the other is fascist. But who wants extremes? Only the liberal fascists who propel situations into desperate polarization as imposed dialectic principle. So we trade one exploitaion for another based on Utopian mental masturbation about the sky falling a la chicken little, designed to destroy freedom? Eff the greens and all they stand for. I ‘ll take benevolent capitalism any day.
