For over 40 years now, the Democrats have OWNED the state Senate and Legislature. For even longer, they have owned the Los Angeles Times editorial board.
For four years, Barack Obama has been president in Washington, D. C. For two years he and the Democrats owned all of it.
California has dropped from 5th world economic power in 2000, to around 10th today.
Still, your editorial board advocates we do more of the same. Unlike the LA Times staff, I literally love the state I was born in. Unlike the LA Times, when I see what your staff and the Democrats in this nation/state have done to this beautiful land so full of promise, I feel like I have just seen someone I love be violently raped.
When California is the 30th to 40th world economic power, your staff will still be endorsing the same people who have gotten it there.
It's what you've always done. It's what you'll always do.
There is a power higher than man, and the day comes when you will anwer for what you have done.
If anyone out there in Tensil Town has half a clue, they'll cancel their subscritption, and vote for Mitt Romney and against every Democrat on every ticket in the state.
Otherwise we're going down, and the LA Times will continue to laugh at those of us who object.
With no regard whatsoever,
California's Son
Nice
The LA Times Endorses Obama. What next the NY Times?
The days of the Chandlers are long gone. The LAT has been a cesspool of leftists for decade. Their pet cartoonist Conrad, the various liberal whack-job editors and columnists. We dropped them (about the time they fired cartoonist Ramirez) long before we moved out of that benighted state.
Murdoch is thinking of buying it. Bye-bye, LaLa.
Aw come on now, you know it is the Republicans fault!
Would have left a pithy comment on their site, but of course it assumes you are a liberal with some sort of social network BS account. How clever of them. Excellent filter actually, to minimize conservative input.
I am a native Californian; moved to TX with my parents when I was sixteen; moved back to the land I love after twenty years; and after being treated like an unwelcome because I happened to make good money and paid taxes but not enough for the unions and illegals I moved back to TX. Now I do love TX but not the heat and some of the scenery. But until something changes I will only go to CA to visit. Have to say I met some very fine conservitie folks there, they are just outnumbered.
Reality never seems to be able to pierce the bubble of delusion that democrats live under.
What’s hilariously telling is...the California putzes elected Moombeam to run the show. My god you couldn’t make this stuff up.
I read a few sentences of the editorial...I had to laugh.
Times editorial stated that Obama provided a steady leadership in the White House which was refreshing after Bush years...
Editorial also called Obama “pragmatic” not “ideological”...(I guess Obama was not liberal enough for Times.)
Editorial also pointed out that economy was really bad when Obama started his term...
Whatever...It is the same editorial page which advocated banning private ownership of guns...
Your letter is well put, to say the least.
California has so much potential, but more than half of the voters are moonbats. How else do you explain the election results? We have the same problem living in Massachusetts.
We lived in California from 1975 -1984. Back then it was smog-free Orange County. Now it is orange-free Smog County.
Nothing compares to the good old days, I guess. The question is: How do we pass them on to our kids and grandkids?
By implication you demonstrate that you know the difference
between those who rule California and many of us who have
lived here all of our lives. Unfortunately that is something that
too many of our Freeper friends fail to understand when they
paint the whole state with a broad brush. Thank you.
When that socialist thug, Hugo Chavez, of Venezuela, that communist dictator, Fidel Castro, of Cuba, that autocratic strong arm ruler, Vladimir Putin, of Russia, that crazy president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, of the leading terrorist country in the world, Iran, the leftist UN and the Communist Party of the USA all endorse Barack Obama for president, that’s all I need to know to NOT vote for him in November. Birds of a feather, flock together, as they say.
I'd say that's a virtual given. The Old Gray Lady has developed Senile Onset dementia and needs to be in protective custody to avoid hurting others.
Otis Chandler turned the Times to the left in the sixties.

The real revolution must happen in media and academia.
