EAGLE — An Avon woman was sentenced to six years in prison after admitting she was drunk when she started an altercation with her boyfriend, tripped and fell on her infant son, killing him.
Tanya Baca had pleaded guilty last month to manslaughter, Class 4 felony. She was sentenced Wednesday.

Story doesn’t add up. Extremely intoxicated and fighting with a boyfriend. Tripped and fell on the infant? My guess is this was more likely intentional child abuse perpetrated by a drunk, very sick person.

WOW, that is a really good question...
I still think she should be at least charged with manslaughter, as for going to jail, no, I think the guilt she will have to live with the rest of her life will suffice.

This is the opposite of Justice. This woman has suffered enough already for the accidental death.
By the way, 1.37 million U.S. mothers intentionally killed their children last year without any criminal charges. Some were drunk, some were sober.
