Democratic Congressman Chris Murphy and Republican businesswoman Linda McMahon are in a near tie following their final debate in Connecticut’s testy U.S. Senate race.

The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Connecticut Voters shows Murphy with 48% support to McMahon’s 47%. Two percent (2%) like some other candidate, and three percent (3%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

This race now moves back from Leans Democrat to a Toss-Up

If Brown loses, McMahon can replace him as the republican most likely to pull a Jim Jeffords to thwart conservatism.

The Dems are heavily favored to take the Lieberman seat. This is a safe Obama state so its a surprise to see them struggling.

If Brown loses, McMahon can replace him as the republican most likely to pull a Jim Jeffords to thwart conservatism.

And if Brown and McMahon lose, Harry Reid likely will stay in charge of the Senate and stop any legislation that comes out of a Republican House or from a Republican President Romney, including repealing Obamacare. The choice isn't some 100% conservative vs. a RINO in states like MA and CT, its Brown or McMahon or a raging liberal Dem like Warren.

First time in Rasmussen Romney has hit 50% - the Fat Lady has sung!

Other polls should soon follow suit. I can see Nate Silver cutting his wrists in despair! Its no longer possible to claim Gallup is an outlier. This is a game-changer!

If it only means that Harry Reid is removed as Senate majority leader, that is enough. We can repeal Obamacare if we run the Senate.

Linda signs everywhere here in CT. We can only hope the state bucks tradition. She is taking some flack today over a “cross the aisle” ad she’s running about Obama supporters voting for her. But maybe this type of pandering will work.

I live in CT and as much as it's true, we are a blue state... the Romney/Ryan signs outweigh the Obama/Biden by like 5 to 1 in my area. It is such a pleasure to drive and see, and I have some good friends who voted O last year and will not do it again. I guess what I'm hoping is that Linda's polling is tracking to Romney/Ryan as well... Heck, if PA can become a swing state, so can we! I sure am hoping!!!

These are the same people that elected a guy who admittedly lied about his military record and got punked by Glenn Beck in an interview..
I’m not holding my breath.

I live in Connecticut. In the north central part of the state Linda signs heavily outweigh Murphy signs. Obama signs are few and far between, while Romney signs are very common.
