Sen. John McCain (R-Ari.) blasted President Obama for his snarky cheap shots at Mitt Romney during Monday nights debate, calling them unpresidential.
The president had his snarky cheap shot remarks which are both unpresidential and not likeable, McCain told "Fox and Friends" on Tuesday morning.
In particular, McCain pointed to one of the most talked about moments from the third and final presidential debate, in which Obama sarcastically responded to Romneys criticism of the proposed $1 trillion in defense cuts from last years Budget Control Act and sequestration.
Romney accused Obama of allowing the military to be cut to historically low levels.
Our Navy is smaller now than at any time since 1917, Romney said. The Navy said they needed 313 ships to carry out their mission. Were now at under 285. Were headed down to the low 200s if we go through a sequestration. Thats unacceptable to me."
We also have fewer horses and bayonets, Obama responded sharply. He then added that fewer ships and planes were needed because of the development of aircraft carriers and nuclear submarines.
Its not a game of Battleship, where were counting ships, Obama said.
The president also argued that sequestration was set up by Congress, not his administration, and that it would not happen.
Obama and Congress agreed to the automatic cuts as part of a deal last summer to raise the debt ceiling. Both sides agreed that painful cuts would be implemented if a supercommittee of lawmakers failed to come up with a deficit-reduction plan.
McCain said when he debated the president in 2008, he had the principle not to stoop to that level of ridicule.

Apparently Zero’s advisors told him women would flock to him if he sounded like their ex husband/boyfriend. Or maybe they just told him to “be himself”.
Just now thought a good comeback from Romney concerning the horses and bayonets would have been, NO BULLETS EITHER. The Fort Hood soldiers did not have bullets as I recall and in Afghanistan, I read they do not have loaded weapons in many cases.
Go pet your fellow Arab spring cheerleader and homo sock monkey Lindsay, McCain.
Sometimes I think if McCain did beat Obama, McCain would have gotten us into a war with Russia, like he tried to do during Kosovo.
Barry shot his "likeability factor" all to hell.
McCain, message for you. You are dead tree in the woods and no one else is around. I think that means there is no sound when you sway back and forth or fall down. We cannot hear you!
Oh McCain.....You've done it again!!!
I suspect McCain is angling for sec of def posting.
NOOOOOOOOOOOO!
I applaud McCain for taking the lead on this subject but sometimes I’m glad McCain didn’t win. He scares me sometimes. Bomb...bomb...bomb Iran might have happened. Maybe more than just there.
Said the man who assured us that he "have nothing to fear" from an Obama Presidency.
Dear John,
Shut. Up.
Not a great argument. Most do not carry loaded weapons when on garrison duty anymore, not for a long, long time. Even during WWII they were issued ammo as required and when in a combat zone. The security forces and those involved in direct live fire training have loaded weapons but that is controlled. During the VN years, you were issued ammunition at the ranges, during training where live rounds were required and when you were done you cleared and counted any rounds that were left. Precautions are taken so as not to have an incident due to horseplay, arguments, or other stupidity. The idea that they carry loaded weapons everywhere they go is Hollywood, not reality.
Obama has ALWAYS been snarky, petty, and arrogant.

For his supporters, such attributes make him more endearing.
I'm sure Obama doesn't know that we had camels around civil war time...but they croaked to easy.
Glad you like it
obama has really creepy hands
In 2004 the key word of the election was “gravitas.” In 2012, it is “snarky.”
the man has never had class nor his wife, the idiots who think he;s smart, educated and classy have been sucked in by the media.
Both obama’s have arrogance, bad attitude, a feeling of being a victim, both feel they should be given special rights as does most of the left and both feel an injustice to the world.
If the media actually did their job then they would have reported his middle finger, his nay corpse man, 57 states, his attitude, his look of anger and his wife bitter hateful attitude
That would have been a good answer, but I doubt Romney was quite prepared for all of the stupidity that tumbled out of the ChiPunk’s mouth.
Here’s my theory regarding McCain’s comments about Zero’s debate technique: politics has a long memory, and as such, unless McCain is planning on retiring, he’s going to need some DC leeway/favors/”pork”/etc from the other side down the road. He certainly won’t get any if he’s on record for blasting Zero, as he is now. So, the RNC internal numbers must paint a very positive picture for Romney at this time, positive enough that McCain felt safe to finally man up. So, it may be a very good sign.
