For a while today, it seemed like Donald Trump's "big ... very big ... very big" bombshell revelation about President Obama, which he has promised to unveil on Twitter tomorrow, might be an anonymous rumor that Obama sold cocaine in college, but Trump's right-hand man, Michael Cohen, has denied it. Trump's scoop is "substantially more important to the American people," Cohen told Daily Caller. Or ... is it? Douglas Kass, a Florida-based investor who appears on CNBC’s talkshow ‘Squawkbox’ where Trump is often a commentator, tweeted to his 48,000 followers: 'High above the Alps my Gnome has heard that Donald Trump will announce that he has unearthed divorce papers between the Prez and his wife.'

Were divorce papers actually filed in court or did a lawyer draw them up and keep them in a file for later use? Did someone working for a lawyer alert them to this or did someone in a clerk’s office do it? Even if true, I doubt Obama would lose a single vote because of it. With Trump, once again, much ado about nothing.
Romney is surging now. Does he really need any extra help? I’m hoping Trump and Romney at least have a “pre-release” discussion about the potential help/harm any disclosure may have on the campaign.
I worry that if the divorce thing is true Oboingo would get a sympathy vote bump (”Aw, poor guy, he’s getting divorced. I’ll vote for him so at least he doesn’t lose his job too”). Yes, some Americans are THAT stupid.

There are two primary things that could effect the race.

Obama was adopted by his step-father whose name was Soetero and he became a citizen of Indonesia. Did he ever officially renounce that citizenship and change his name in court to Obama?? If not, that would be an easy October surprise.

Actually, if Trump really has anything so earth-shattering, he should hand onto it for a few more days before releasing it. Romney may well not need it. If it appears that R&R’s surge continues and that the GOP will win easily, then whatever it is should be filed away for now. We may need it in 2016, since I fear that Obama will attempt a Grover Cleveland and immediately begin campaigning for the 2016 Democrat nomination if the electorate shoves him aside November 6.
If Obama with the help of a furious media onslaught starts coming back in the polls, however ... bombs away!
The reason is simple. Republicans are held to a different standard than Democrats.
