Obama Has Massive Lead in Global Poll
Weakly Standard ^ | 10/23/12 | Dan Harper

It is not even close: In a world poll of the U.S. presidential race, President Barack Obama is the clear favorite over Governor Mitt Romney. By a margin of 50-9 percent, Obama is favored in the poll of 21,797 respondents in 21 countries around the world.

"France was the most strongly pro-Obama (72%)," according to the BBC. The only country that would select Romney over Obama is Pakistan, though neither candidate gets more than 20 percent of the support in that country.

And the country where Romney polls the highest? Kenya. But even there, Romney's support does not even eclipse the 20 percent mark.

The poll was conducted by the BBC, and did not sample folks in America, where the polls show a much tighter race.

And here's a chart showing how Romney's support ranks:

Someone at the dumass BBC has me confused with someone who gives a (BLEEP!)

They all envy America until the next natural or un-natural disaster hits!

(BLEEP)'em all! The long and the short and the tall! They ain't got no votes here unless they slip across our border and seek out some fool Democrat to get 'em registered to vote, foodstamps, welfare, free college and all the rest!!! (spit!)

Really disgusted at Poland.

When Russia comes knocking, let’s see how well you get them to leave this time without the U.S. and the Pope.

Right. Hate them because they actually like Obama less than almost any other nation (except the one people think he was born in). Smart.

What it comes down to is this: if somebody asks the average who he or she favors in a foreign country's elections, the person they've heard of or the person they haven't, everybody who doesn't follow politics is going to say the name of the person they've already heard of.

That's the 60 or 70 percent who haven't a clue what's going on over here, and that's okay, because they don't vote in our elections anyway, but you're going to write them off because ordinary people who have enough trouble living their own lives don't follow all the details of our politics.

Just bear in mind that Polish troops are still fighting our war in Afghanistan as we speak.

Romney outpolls Obama by 2:1 in Israel. It was the same with McCain.

Those who want America weakened so their countries can be stronger in relative terms have spoken. Of course the Dem party will listen.

That was one of my many gripes with Dubya. He wouldn't take his new broom and sweep clean by removing all the Clinton and other liberal appointees in our corrupted government when he had the perfect chance. Up until 9-11-01 there was a creshendo of liberal hate and discontent directed at him anyway so he had nothing to lose.

Then when 911 hit he could have than swept out the most liberal and wasteful government programs. But instead he just choked on pretzels and gave Letterman more comedy material along with Saturday Night Live. It was enough to gag a maggot. I get so tired of being disappointed in Republicans. They so seldom provide satisfying leadership. Reagan, of course was just about the lone exception.
