The Wave That Breaks The Liberal Bubble
The American Thinker ^ | 10-24-2012 | C. Edmund Wright

Can you feel it?

The wave, that is. I speak of one that will wash away far more than just a failed presidency. This wave will have the torque to rock the entire liberal bubble -- the political/media/crony bubble -- leaving it forever exposed. Ironically, those inside this bubble will be the last to know -- which is precisely why it will happen. Those who would rule over us, and insult us with outrage over Big Bird, academic debate-scoring, "binders" memes, and specious jobs statistics know nothing about us. This includes those inside the bubble who purport to represent our views.

But we know them well. For the record, "we" refers to the quarter of the country that never bought into the fraudulent vapor of Obama

your list is the list of a FOOL just like Geo Will who helped elect Clintoon by saying George Bush wasn’t conservative enough for his snooty taste

Don’t need a candidate. Gov’t is not the answer. Socialism always fails, always. Being the best capitalist and free marketer you can be, starving the beast called gov’t, and prepping for the economic disaster that the US is on the precipice of, are the correct actions one should take. Politicians are not the answer, you and I are.

-——1) Vote Third Party——

That is not acting or voting. That is pretending to act.

The other solutions you propose are cowardly acts of one unable or so ideological deluded they are unable to weigh the actual candidates merits and make a decision and then be an American and Vote.

There are only two candidates

That is one thing I liked about your piece, a tick of reality, the idea that this is not a perfect victory. I think what bothers me is the revised cheer-leading of Romney and this diluted conservatism. We are deluding ourselves if we thing the man is born again rock-ribbed conservative. In fact that is a rare commodity in political circles. At some point we have to stop before we weaken conservatism so much it becomes a characterure of itself.

We have to draw a line and soon. Those who are acting as if things are all hunky dory have just because we got a win by a guy with an “R” after his name need to grow up.

As someone said up thread “it is what it is”. Sadly we have been saying that for years as we accept what scraps are handed us. I wonder if that will be said as we seek shelter from the final fall of our republic...

well as far as I am concerned, government does one thing well and that is to provide a military to protect us from FOREIGN enemies. That is what I want government to do.

You have to know this, that welfare is an anticrime effort, they figgered that if they just gave it away, robbery would go down. and maybe it worked, I don’t know know

No other choices? Seriously??? When a person lives in pretendland, there’s no limit to the choices. And the best thing about setting up camp in pretendland is that there a person can make themselves the coolest, most conservativest in the whole wide world...

But you all let Sarah Palin twist in the wind...

I guess you need to go back and review all the old Palin threads from 2009 and 2010 then to see the ferocity of our defense back then, against the Rats, the GOP-e, and the in-house PDS'ers.

But, as far as the Conservative movement at large goes, the only real prominent people to rise to her defense was Andrew Breitbart, Mark Levin, and Sean Hannity. Not a peep from the rest, especially after Tucson.

Actually no, I was fine with Palin from the get go.

And yes step by step is fine. But not walking backwards...

Essentially, the role of the federal government is to protect the states from foreign aggression and to regulate disputes between the states. Nothing else.

If two states agree to work together on something that the fedgov doesn’t like, tough.

The piece was edited down by 600 words - not my choice.

So who edited her out? That's a pretty glaring omission, among all the other names you mentioned.

ambitious individuals advancing their own cause(s) for their own benefit

That would be the free market and capitalism. Gov't and cronyism not so much.

I am really sorry now I bothered to politely respond to you in the first place, since your agenda here is to accuse anyone who doesn’t worship Sarah as a GOPe Sarah hater.

So all I’ll say is this: see my archives: note the many many many articles on Sarah. I was a must read on C4Palin and other Sarah sites. Some pieces probably written before you ever even heard of her - then realize you have far less cred on Palin than I do, and go away with your paranoia.

I believe we have a "sleeper" here. This image is on the TR page... and maybe he has something to say about it.

Maybe a "concern Troll", visiting from DU! Lots of posers herein, and signup dates from last fall when Zero started spending most of his time flying mall over campaigning.

I think one of the greatest overlooked facets of this election is the Chick-Fil-A turnout.

I think those numbers are going to turn out for the election as well and it won't be for the "gay marriage" backers.
