The essence of this article was made into a film: “The Hope & The Change”

It’s free to view with a (free) Hulu accoun. It’s not written for us on FR, but I strongly recommend sending the link to anyone who is a democrat or independent:

A Star Falls Over Chicago

Is it this one?

Rev 8

10 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;
11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.

Or

Rev 9

1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.
2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.

Hopefully there will be “tea party GOPers” elected in both the House and the SENATE to make sure to it that they KEEP AN EYE on a possible President Romney come November 6, 2012.

Me too—I’m shedding no tears for Oprah-—but I am having fun dancing on her grave (/snix).

At last we will be having REAL ADULTS who will come into the White House in order to clean it out.

I hope the irony of this empty hope in the wake of an article about empty ope is not lost on everyone. Romney is not Obama, but he certainly is no leader. Half of motivations are exactly the same as Obama's. Half our our motivations in voting for him are the same as those of the Left in voting for Obama. Your fawning over him, when you know little about his style of governance, is very telling. We had the same hopes about W, and taking all 3 Houses... and instead we got faster spending increases than under Clinton, we got zero progress on the borders, on limited government, etc etc etc. (LOVED him on foreign policy, but domestically, in 6 years all we got was a tax cut and higher spending. Not brag-worthy at all.)

He promised a chicken in every pot but people have begun to realize they actually elected a chicken who likes pot.

LOL...great tag line for the next two weeks, but after that, just a fading memory.

You're right, Oprah took a huge hit for her open support of Barry Soetoro. She went from Queen to Stable Girl just like 'that'. But the odd thing is she was the only 'Star' that really paid a price for backing the commie 'wife' -- that I can think of, anyway.

And I have a feeling that MooseHell and Valerie Jarrett had their hands in it. Somehow or someway they made sure Oprah's business dealings wouldn't turn out exactly favorably. As I recall reading that MooseHell was jealous of Oprah due to the time she was spending with her 'baby daddy'. Which shouldn't make sense as they all went to Rev Wright's 'church' and weren't exactly strangers.

Plus if Moosie was jealous of anyone being with her Barry, she should have been jealous of ..... Bill Ayers (snicker).

Damn, I only wish I could write that well. Good article.

On a side note: Urban legend has it any trend reported in the New York Times is already passé

Someone else said that and I just added some associated commentary.

If is certainly possible that her white (women) audience didnt appreciate her taking sides in 2008 especially as Os stardom faded in 2009 and 2010.

Alternatively maybe they just grew tired of her. Since I couldnt sit through such mushy braindead stuff its hard for me to tell. How come women still watch The View?

Didnt she make a comment about how African girls appreciate when someone helps them go to school(which she was doing) , but poor American kids dont appreciated it because they are lazy and act like the criminal types they see on TV? That was before Obama though. Maybe she isnt as liberal as the Os are.

Romney is not Obama, but he certainly is no leader.

But it's a fact that he has led multiple corporations, a successful and faithful marriage, and led Mass. as Governor.

Half of motivations are exactly the same as Obama's.

Surely all humans have some of the same motivations for all things.

Half our our motivations in voting for him are the same as those of the Left in voting for Obama.

Yes. They want him to win, we want Romney to win. There are many 'similarities' in motivations between just about any 2 human beings on the planet.

Your fawning over him, when you know little about his style of governance, is very telling.

Well... we know he was successful in his governance. Especially since he was outnumbered by Democrats. Unlike Obama who had everyone worshipping him, Romney had to succeed by dealing with opposition from everyone. He wasn't kicked out of office, he never got arrested for drugs or prostitution, his audits came out fine, his state and it's citizens grew, and profited. I'm pretty sure that even though we know so little, what we do know is very telling.

We had the same hopes about W, and taking all 3 Houses...

3 Houses, 4 Houses.... whatever it takes.

... and instead we got faster spending increases than under Clinton, we got zero progress on the borders, on limited government, etc etc etc. (LOVED him on foreign policy, but domestically, in 6 years all we got was a tax cut and higher spending. Not brag-worthy at all.

President Bush's 'job' was to rebuild New York and the Stock Market Infrastructure. To stop the advance of politics based on militaristic religion. To make the Middle East a 'safe' resource.

When it came to things like the border/limited government/spending bills, those things were not under the executive branches legal 'control'. I.E. President Bush couldn't just issue a spending bill, or declare the border closed. Of course, under Obama, there are no such rules in place, anymore.
