More like ‘Hurry up and vote for my husband before the economy tanks again, or you get a clue.’
One cold rainy Tuesday night when I was a child, my father, a WWII veteran, got home from work and immediately did a face palm. He muttered that he had to go back out and vote. I asked why bother, it’s cold and miserable out there .
He fixed me with a look I knew meant he was serious and said;
“Because too many men better than me died horrible deaths in awful places so I could vote”
I’ve never missed an election.
This whole harangue against early voting is idiotic. I don’t need to wait until the last minute for the candidates to “make their case.” I am going to early vote and I can’t wait to cast my vote against the bozo in the White House. And I really couldn’t care less about the “communal sense of group voting” that some conservatives whine about. I thought we were the party of logic, not sentimentalist drivel.
I, too, love election day. I decided to take Michelle’s advice and vote early. That way I can work the polls on Election day. I signed up for a heavy Dem area, where no other GOP worker was signed up. I think that is a better use of my time on election day, over standing in massive lines. I will be handing out leaflets for Conservatives. Thanks for the advice Michelle. ;)
