The Real Libya Story: There Is No Story (The Obama media has spoken...)

Now that they've spoken they can sit down. Fortunately for America there are other more curious media sources we can use.

Can you imagine how horrifying those 6-8 hours were?

What next... will there be recorded calls begging for help released? I am sure they will find a way to dismiss those too

“(The Obama media has spoken. Now shut up!)”

I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration somehow you’re not patriotic. We should stand up and say we are Americans and we have a right to debate and disagree with ANY administration.

Apparently State knew about it, too (other emails were released this afternoon). So that makes liars not only of Obama, but Hillary. Not that we didn’t already know that!

It’s going to be hard for them to get out of this.

BTW, is it just me, or is it hard to post or even to refresh tonight? THis has been going on all day. I don’t know if it depends on where one lives (I live in Florida) or if it’s an FR-wide thing.

They’ve shut us down during the last two debates, and you know they’re going to shut us down on election day. Is there some kind of internet security company we could get to help us?

Down here in south Florida posting has been slow too.

Been to St. Augustine before...beautiful city, love it, even though we were there as tourists. :)

No evidence has surfaced so far to support the idea that the Obama Administration deceived the public deliberately.

Wanna bet?

CBS spiked a part of Obama's interview given 14 hours later in which Obama said:

You're right that this is not a situation that was -- exactly the same as what happened in Egypt and my suspicion is that there are folks involved in this who were looking to target Americans from the start," Mr. Obama said.

That part of the interview was on the cutting room floor when the interview was first aired

That is the closest Obama came to telling the truth. I wonder why he did not tell CandyBooBoo to get that transcript? Because he knew it had been spiked. And if he knew Libya was not like Egypt, then why the hell was the video all he could talk about at the UN?

What was in the aired version?

PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA: I think most Americans - Democrats or Republicans - understand that there are times where we set politics aside, and one of those is when we've got a direct threat to American personnel who are overseas. And so, you know, I think that if you look at how most Republicans have reacted - most elected officials – they've reacted responsibly, waiting to find out the facts before they talked; making sure that our number one priority is the safety and security of American personnel.

It appears that Governor Romney didn't have his facts right. You know, the situation in cairo was one in which a – an embassy that is being threatened by major protests releases a press release, saying that the film that had disturbed so many Muslims around the world wasn't representative of what Americans believe about Islam, in after effort to cool the situation down. It didn't come from me. It didn't come from Secretary [Hillary] Clinton. It came from folks on the ground who are potentially in danger, and, you know, my tendency is to cut folks a little bit of slack when they're in that circumstance, rather than try to question their judgment from the comfort of a campaign office.

And, you know, I do have to say that, more broadly, you know, we believe in the First Amendment. It is one of the hallmarks of our constitution that I'm sworn to uphold. And so, we are always going to uphold the right for individuals to speak their mind. On the other hand, this film is not representative of who we are and our values, and I think it's important for us to communicate that. That's never an excuse for violence against Americans, which is why my number one priority - and my initial statement - focused on making sure that - not only are Americans safe, but that we go after anybody who would attack Americans. But there's a broader lesson to be learned here, and, you know, Governor Romney seems to have a tendency to shoot first and aim later. And as President, one of the things I've learned is that you can't do that; that, you know, it's important for you to make sure that the statements that you make are backed up by the facts; and that you've thought through the ramifications before you make them.
[me: Yet he finds nothing wrong about lying in front of the caskets of 4 DEAD Americans???]

Given everything we have learned since 9/11, one has to ask why it was spiked. Again, based on the totality of the actions of the WH and State Department, I can only conclude there was a conscious decision made to go with the video excuse and CBS was asked to cut that statement from the version which aired.

I want to know what people were involved in changing the narrative. Who changed the narrative and who told Susan Rice to lie like a rug? And why did Kroft agree to go with the false narrative?

Good one on the cow pie. .... Yes, I just got another "cannot post page" and disconnect trying to respond, it's been a real pill for a couple of days now. Wonder if FR's being DDoS'd.

My Firefox almost can't contact the site at all -- it's quicker to flag "server not responding / try again?"

Good post, you nailed the play-along press pukes and the Regime's liars, including the Liar-in-Chief.

If the polls of white men intending to vote is any indication, they've finally figured this guy out. And reportedly, Libya was what broke the ice. Those voters know now that Obama and his henchmen stood next to the bodies of dead Americans, pretending to offer sympathy and support, and lied like rugs for their own political skins -- after letting those dead Americans hang out to dry.

You don't need to have seen a whole raft of John Wayne movies to parse the equities on that one.

When people are lying dead on the ground, Americans expect honesty and the straight story -- and Obama decided to give 'em the old buck-and-wing instead.

St A is great! I wish there were fewer Dems here though. Actually, the Dems are not in the majority, but they’re much more vocal, as usual.

Aside from that, St Augustine is a wonderful place and we love our tourists!

Perfect! It was nice to read that without Hitlery’s nauseating pitch. That’s one benefit of the written word vs audio.

Whew, what a relief! The Administration is merely indecisive and ineffectual. And here I thought we were in trouble.
