Washington Post ^ | OCTOBER 25, 2012 | By Rachel Weiner

One of the most popular and respected members of the Obama administration, Clinton faces the possibility that her legacy will be marred by the attacks in Benghazi and questions about diplomatic security. She has taken full responsibility for any security lapses and defended the administration’s sometimes confusing accounts of what happened, saying, “Everyone who spoke tried to give the information they had.”

Fox is running a story from the Blaze about and Ed Klein interview. Make that WAS running. Anyway, here's the story from the Blaze : KLEIN: Two separate sources on this. And Hillary claims, and I tend to believe her, that she ordered beefed‑up security in Benghazi because it had been requested and that this order was never carried out and that furthermore when and if she is subpoenaed, along with her internal memoranda and the cable traffic from the State Department by the House committee, it will prove that she did just that. Now, if it doesn’t prove that she did just that, then they’re lying to me, and the sources are ‑‑ you know, I’m not suggesting that that’s impossible, but I seriously doubt it since I’m talking to legal counsel to Hillary Clinton. Legal counsel. These people don’t generally lie. PAT: Ed, if that happened, why did she then later accept full responsibility for what took place? Why would she do that? KLEIN: This was a big debate within the Clinton camp itself, between Hillary and Bill. Bill did not want her to take full responsibility. He wanted her to, in fact, consider the possibility of even resigning if the White House continued to try to make her the scapegoat in this. Hillary and her legal team decided she should look presidential, above ‑‑ she should look moderate, she should come forward and say, “Look, I take responsibility. I’m the Secretary of State” and by comparison making the president look a hell of a lot smaller because he was ducking all responsibility and knowing full well that when the full story came out, she would be, in her words, or at least the words of her legal counsel, exonerated.

Because it is called politics. Recall you keep your enemys closer than your friends. Thinking ourside the box and properly supervised this might not be completely insane. Just thinking.

BENGHAZI is what happens when you have DELUSIONAL IDEOLOGS running departments in our government. The first thing out of the mouth of this woman after the attack was I CAN’T BELIEVE THEY ATTACKED US AFTER WE JUST LIBERATED THEM. Liberated who you ignorant moron. Liberated one dictator for another. Her legacy is FOUR DEAD IN BENGHAZI, and FAST and FURIOUS.

"This is most intriquing in light of the Ed Klien story that Hillary has State Dept documents requesting beefed up security for the Benghazi consulate which nobody acted upon."

She's got them stored right next to her Rose Law Firm billing records.

If Mitt doesn’t place boot to butt and launch her down the Capitol steps January 20th, 2013, he has made a big mistake to begin with.

or Hey, in an act of generosity, a silverware deal, she returns all the stuff she looted from the WH and she can stay for 30 days..

Whether she approved extra security for Benghazi or not, the fact that as Sec. of State, she didn't follow-up to make sure it was in place, makes her just as culpable.

Charlene Lamb, who was in charge security requests said under oath that she personally turned down those requests that were made through the regular channels, and I believe that's where the paperwork stopped. Did someone go above Lamb's head, and go directly to Hillary? If so, who was it, and why haven't they stepped forward? If Hillary approved this extra security, other people involved would have received copies of the approval documents they claim Hillary has. So where are they? Personally, I think it's just more Clinton BS, which they are so good at.

Nice of her to offer but with any luck her services will no longer be needed come January 20.

Hey Mitt,

Looking for an arrogant aging bitter anti-military incompetent closet-lesbian Alinksy acolyte to run your State Department?

Nah...didn’t think so

ROTFLOL. Hillary popular and respected? That’s a load of you know what. No scenario has she ever been respected or popular.

If Obama wins again, then I agree, he should keep Hillary close.

But I’m hoping that Mitt Romney will win. In that case, the further she is, the better.
