Many pundits believe the election will come down to Ohio. Will it be the "hanging chads/Florida" of 2012?
Check this out:
The media will begin running with this as soon as today, but certainly as we get closer.
I will make this as brief as possible. In Ohio if you have requested an absentee/Mail in ballot and you do NOT return it, you will still be allowed to vote on election day, but only with a provisional ballot. Even though there is a week to go, only a fraction of the mail in ballots have been returned which means there will most likely be a TON of provisional ballots being cast in Ohio.
The Kicker: THey don't even START to count provisional ballots until November 17th.
If this is under a 100K, which most of us expect it will be, don't expect anyone to concede if OH wil decide the election...especially O's team. The D's have a tendency to fight until enough trunks ar opened to find those 'mystery' ballots..amIrite Al Franked?
You will be 'primed' with these stories soon..this also creates a longer media narrative and more eyes on the television screens for weeks a la 2000.
What beat us in the governor's race in Washington state in 2004 was that the Liberals had control over the process in King County where most of the uncounted absentees were and they had a bunch of absentee ballots which they just sat and filled out until they had enough.

We haven’t heard about the Soros Secretaries of State project lately...

Republican.
This may, however, come down to each county election commission or board.
Regardless, doubtful Ohio will be called the night of the election.
You can believe the RATs are already lining up compliant judges to keep the polls open late. I’ll bet they will sabatoge some voting machines, use weather, overflow precients late in the day, whatever to manufacture the need to keep the polling places open late. They will stop at nothing.
I believe that Obama’s plan is to steal the election Fla. 2000 style by contesting Ohio. I think they are getting their team in place for this. The MSM is ‘helping’ by putting out biased polls. I also believe that Romney will win without OH, and that this only works for one state, so that if Romney wins enough states on election night without winning OH, it’s over. Watch for pundits to delay calling OH on election night.
Heads up: the Ohio absentee ballot requires 65 cents U.S. Postage:
Ohio isn't Florida, circa 2000. We have voter ID and vote by machine (no hanging chads), and the Governor, Supreme Court, and Secretary of State are all Republican. The SOS, Jon Husted, has weeded nearly 500,000 old (or potentially fraudulent) registrations off of the voting rolls, so we now have 7.8 million registered voters instead of 8.3 million in 2008. A good chunk of that decline was from Cuyahoga County (Cleveland), which had a nearly 20% drop in registrations.
GOP candidates always equal or overperform their national populr vote percentages; if Romney wins 50% of the popular vote nationally, he will win at least that percentage in Ohio.
If you're really worried, go to www.mittromney.com and help us make some calls to Ohio voters. Let's get it done!
It won’t matter, Romney won’t need Ohio.
Nothing ANYWHERE should be "called" until after the West Coast polls close.
