They fought for their lives for seven hours. 9/11/ 2012. Benghazi. The White House watched. No help was sent and they died.
Four Americans died in the jihadi attack on our consulate in Benghazi. Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods, two retired SEALS who were working as civilian security specialists in Benghazi, learned that Ambassador Stevens and nine other people at the consulate were under attack and rushed to their defense. The fourth man was Sean Smith, father of three, an Air Force veteran, working for the State Department in Libya.
The White House, the Pentagon, the State Department, and our military monitored the battle in real time starting with the first phone calls directly from Benghazi. A small military force from Tripoli was dispatched and was able to rescue some personnel hiding in other buildings. Ambassador Stevens remained missing, as did these three men. The fire-fight raged on.
The shocking news of October 22 was that a drone ordered in from Tripoli sent back images of the attack in real time. The battle was sent on streaming video direct to the Situation Room in the White House. Within two hours, emails from Benghazi reported that Al Qaeda in Libya was claiming responsibility.
President Obama, our Commander-in-Chief, had military options available to try and save our men. He could have had the drone armed with Hellfire missiles. He could have scrambled fighter jets from Sicily to drive off the attackers. He could have dropped in Special Forces. He had seven hours to take action.
He did nothing. Doherty and Woods died in the last hour of the attack.

Obama playing 'god' with peoples lives, just as he does with the kill list and drone attacks. Supposedly he 'enjoys' watching the drone 'snuff' films and watches them over and over.

No.
Like EVERYTHING else he’s ever ‘done’ as POTUS, he probably had underlings watch and report to him in the morning while he got his ‘rest’.

I subscribe to the conspiracy theory, myself. I think that Amb. Stevens was involved with sending weapons to al Qaeda in Syria and elsewhere and Obama was concerned about his story getting out; he was content to let him die rather than take the political risk.

I have written similar comments but obviously not so eloquent as yours since no one seemed to understand not only that it is rank hypocrisy claiming credit for the one action and denouncing all responsibility for the other, but also that the GOP and the R/R campaign have a perfect opportunity to make the pro-Obama Hollywood propaganda a shot-in-the-foot for the soon to be deposed incumbent.
After reading this article it is discouraging that 47% of Americans still want this man to remain our President. It shouldn’t be that close. It wouldn’t be that close if the press was pounding him relentlessly with the questions asked in this article, and were willing to ignore his outrage at being questioned about this.
I noticed there was a nice exculpatory puff piece for Hillary yesterday in the WSJ. I’m wondering if a deal has been made where Hillary has agreed to leak enough on this to hang Obama in exchange for whitewashing her role in it. Where did the leaked emails come from? It will be interesting to watch how close or not Hillary remains in the Obama orbit in the remaining days. Also if there is such an agreement, is there more material from Hillary coming?

You get a valid email address if you take the “name” from the one email, and put it at the front part of @state.gov, for many of the emails. (The redacted portions on the emails are provided in the third email.)
You too can send a personal note to the people that stood by and did nothing as Americans were killed in Benghazi.
I wonder who gets mail at “p@state.gov“? It is one of the valid addresses.

Seems like sources have said that’s what was going on - that the arms were being routed to Turkey, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia, who were giving them to ISLAMIST Syrian rebels aligned with Al Qaeda.
And the only person who could have denied Hillary Clinton’s request for more security for Stevens was Barack Obama. Obama personally set the stage for this attack. I’d really love to know how the US government was even aware of that video that had hardly any views and was created and uploaded by someone with ties to both the Muslim Brotherhood and Barack Obama. If Obama colluded in advance to create that video to use an excuse for this attack, then Obama not only ALLOWED this attack but actually may have been part of PLANNING it.
There’s a lot of information we need to have. The fact that the Obama regime is not cooperating with Congressional efforts to get to the bottom of this greatly increases the odds that this was not just incompetence but something much bigger.

Just curious: did Obama, or anyone else in the administration, even pick up the phone and call whomever is nominally in charge in Libya with an urgent request for intervention by the locals? Or did they just watch?
there once was a day when the Pentagon, CIA, FBI, State Dept, WH, etc. all had detailed contingency plans for every eventuality to respond to hot spots around the world, and within the US. And, when planned events could possibly cause a problem, as on 9/11, their plans would activate.
Everyone with a shred of smarts know the Muslims went beserk on the first 9/11 and only a fool would think it would not set off adverse Muslim activity this year.
In short, our executive branch is populated with a bunch of fools!!!
Only thing is, why would Obama have planned on or prepared for this attack, if he was trying to hide the arms trafficking? I would think he’d want the area to remain as quiet as possible until after the election, unless Stevens was at risk of revealing what was going on. It just seems to me like there was too much advance preparation for this to have been planned by Al Qaeda without Obama’s help.
I’m thinking this was supposed to be an Obama-saves-the-day hostage crisis, planned together with Al Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood (as coordinated in both Egypt and Libya by Ayman Zawahiri’s video and the Egyptian consulate attack directed by the newly-released brother of Zawahiri at the behest of Egyptian President Morsi).
But Stevens died instead of being merely taken hostage. Did they not realize that the smoke would kill him? What went wrong in the plan?
And they had to be high if they thought that the lowered security would not be a red flag. Maybe they were counting on the threatened media being the only voice heard? Maybe the Obama heroic theatrics were supposed to be so overwhelming that nobody would look at the run-up to the crisis?
Seems to me like no matter what happened, there had to have been massive doses of both treason and incompetence.
What did we expect from mac daddy who has NO problem with tiny babies having their brains sucked out or left to die on the table by a doctor.
GWB and the Pentagon would have been prepared for this probable Libyan scenario., IMO.
This was an unarmed consulate which to an Islamist is like sending an engraved invitation to attack. Had it been defended, they would never have considered what they did. Peace only exists with strength.
