The earthquake was only about 175-180 miles from Ketchikan. They definitely felt it but any tsunami effects should have already occurred there (apparently nothing to speak of in that direction).
My friends are not stupid, so I expect they'll be ok, no one is shooting at them, and they can get to high ground quickly there.
