When one is a devotee of the Alinsky School of Political Thought, one cannot simply "forget politics" when one "can't let a good crisis go to waste". It goes hand-in-hand with the Progressive Movement.

I like that. You’ve been able to come up with the perfect retort. Why couldn’t we have had anyone in the media that fast on their feet to put that same question to Carney or anyone else who needed a punch in the eye for their lies!

You’ve been able to keep your wits about you while I’m been losing mine. I barely know my own name after this debacle and tragedy!!!

Several points to address:
1. This sort of eventuality has been worked out to the last detail and all the pieces were in place to affect relief of the embattled occupants of the Benghazi consulate and CIA annex a mile away. Contrary to what SecDef Panetta says, operators who were tasked with this sort of high risk operation were fully aware of the risks and the kinds of nasty surprises that might come their way. They would go precisely because it was a job they had volunteered to do and had been trained to do. Anything less, the denial of help in an in extremis situation, was criminal negligence and negligent homicide.

2. Leaders — true leaders — know that you can only train and strategize just so far. When the decision is made to GO, then success or failure will be determined by those forces that are sent. They will improvise, adapt, and overcome their enemy. Conversely, those same folks on the sharp end of the spear also know that failure is a possibility and they go anyway.

When GEN Eisenhower wrote his “Knute Rockney” speech for the D-Day invasion of Europe that was released when the invasion began, few people know that speech had a partner that was never read. In that second speech, Eisenhower informed the public that the invasion had failed, there were many casualties, and that the failure was his responsibility, and only his. Where's your leadership on this Barry? You're one excuse after another, pointing fingers at everyone, and you're completely missing in action. This is UNACCEPTABLE. The buck stops in the Oval Office and that means you, Mr. President.

What we needed were some NYFD firemen at the White House that night, so they could tell 0bama what REAL risk looks like; Like going into the WTC on 9/11. THAT was risk.. Benghazi was a cake walk for our military, in comparison.
