Not wishing to capitalize or politicize tragedy but I'm certainly not the first one to tie Sandy to the election and it might be that Northeast voters who are usually too busy to listen to talk radio or too dumbed down by cable tv news to understand why stories like Benghazi and Fast & Furious are important might inadvertently get an education they weren't expecting while they huddle around their radios for updates on road conditions, school closings and emergency updates since radio will be their only form of mass media communication for a few days.

And just before the election too! Could be a nice little miracle for Mitt. Stay tuned...

His Lordship proactively impacting the election in an actionable way? At the end of the day it’s a value-added win-win strategic fit!

How are we going to vote if there’s no electricity,
since they’ve stopped using paper ballots and punch cards?

I prefer to think of it as God conducting an object lesson in exactly who really controls the ocean levels.

No, I think it helps Obobo. Look for his encouraging words everyday. I expect to see him passing out relief supplies too.

God’s will shall prevail in this election. Our job will be to accept His will gracefully. He knows what is best for us.

Praise God.

No. Just as God didn't side with "democrats" when a conservative area like Joplin was destroyed by a tornado. This is just nature.

God cares about our morals as people, not who the president is.

As the local morning ‘radio gawds’ pronounce:
“You put THAT on the radio, and SOMEBODY’s gonna listen to it!”

Gee, I’ve been through the original “Where were you when the lights went out?”, on a military base on Cape Cod. I’ve been through a few hurricanes, ice storms, blizzards, and just plain boredom. How did I manage?? RADIO!!

Sure, there has been the development of the television/cable broadcasts through the years, but RADIO challenges you in a different manner. How? All that you hear, in news, in stories or plays (old time radio is the best), has to be interpreted by that thing between your ears. They can’t spoon feed you on radio, as much.

So, all those folks in the NorthEast, and I’ve lived there a year or two, have to get used to deciphering all that stuff that they are NOT hearing on TV. The only stations that are not conservative, are those pesky 9am to 3pm classical music stations, that pass along the NPR pablum.

For those to know, a Grundig radio still works best. I can use ‘D’ or “AA” batts in mine. (Watch out for that — some of the newer models are “D” size HOGS (more than a 4 cell Maglite can hold), and NOT interchangeable with “AA” batts.
Yes, you get a power adapter, but with power fluctuations, it is winter now, just keep batts on hand. The signal will be cleaner with no extra ‘noise’ to hear.

I use my radios to listen to Rush every day. When I get up in the dark of morning, I use a little “AAA” batt set, with headphones to listen to Walton and Johnson (They are a hoot, and not at all for Obama).

Yes, the folks affected by the storm named Sandy will discover what radios can do. I’ve been a radiohead, eight transistors and counting, since the days of “Cousin Brucie”, from NYC. Sure, I have the TV/cable, the computer internet with YouTube and Live365 Internet radio, but it’s that boxy thing with the knobs on it, the PVC T-antenna clipped on for shortwave reception, that two-buck T-antenna we used to get with our $200 stereo receiver plugged in the back, that little needle thingie that tells me when I have the best reception, my five feet of #22 gauge ground wire trailing off and tied in a knot, and that sound of a human voice, challenging me to envision, as I interpret it, what they are talking about, that is Freedom to me, as long as I have batteries to feed it.

“Has God Sided With Mitt Romney? (Vanity)”’

God sides with “both the righteous and unrighteous.”

He has shown great mercy despite the vile arrogance of the destruction of the innocent.

He has also brought the Resurrection of freedom to whom so ever will, in spite of the attempted Satanic Roman takeover of the human body, the temple of the Holy Spirit. Whether that attempted takeover direct by the State, or by deception calling it a “replacement”, to the benefit of a failed financial paradigm.
