ABC News Moves Pennsylvania, Minnesota from ‘Safe’ to ‘Lean’ Obama
ABC News ^ | 29 Oct 2012 | Amy Walter

With one week to go, states that were once considered Obama strongholds now look less solid. Republican groups are putting resources into Minnesota and Pennsylvania. Team Obama brushes off these incursions as wishful thinking by Republicans, but noticeably they are putting money and muscle into both states. Minnesota has been added to Bill Clinton’s schedule. And, Obama campaign officials admitted that they will once again start running ads in Pennsylvania.

See all of ABC’s race ratings and make your own electoral map.

So, what is happening in Minnesota? Demographics. As our ABC/Washington Post poll has shown, Romney has a substantial lead among white men. Minnesota is one of the least diverse states in the country with 90 percent of the electorate in 2008 made of white voters. In other Midwestern states with small minority populations, like Iowa and Wisconsin, the Obama campaign has flooded the airwaves for months with anti-Romney ads. They have done nothing of the sort in Minnesota.

Moreover, the airwaves in states like Ohio and Virginia are already heavily saturated. The ground game is the name of the game now in those places. That means that SuperPAC’s with lots of money can get a better return on their investment on the airwaves in places like Pennsylvania and Minnesota than in the eight battleground states where the campaigns have been most heavily engaged.

MN was settled by Swedish,Norwegion, Germans and others. The first three are mainly all of the Lutheran faith which is very liberal and thus families for generations have voted for Democrats because their great grandfather did.

Obama should have suspended his campaign to help a Libyan Ambassador and other Americans on September 11.

The Obama/Biden Campaign is Heading to Pennsylvania in a Panic!

All our hard work is paying off at just the right time!

With only 8 days to go before the biggest election of our lifetime, the Romney/Ryan campaign is surging in Pennsylvania and causing the Obama/Biden campaign to panic.  Pennsylvania was recently considered 'safe' for the Obama/Biden campaign, but has since moved to 'leaning Obama' and is up for grabs.

This is the result of better than expected absentee ballot returns coupled with narrowing poll results. The Obama campaign is so concerned that they are taking to the airwaves and sending Joe Biden back to his home state to campaign and try and turn the tide.

Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan are putting many states back in play that were previously written-off as being safe for President Obama.  We are proving again that the Tea Party is a major force and Obama and the Democrats can't compete with people that have true passion in their beliefs and are motivated by the right reasons.

Americans know there is another way. Conservative policies are succeeding in states across the nation, while Obama and his big-government ideas are failing in Washington DC.

As long as the voting station is open I will get there even if I have to swim or get a boat to get there, I am voting.

If it impacts Philly in a major way Romney will win PA.

Minnesota, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, and Iowa will turn out to the ‘Juno, Gold, Omaha, Utah, and Sword’ - the real “Normandy” to recapture our country back, with Ohio being the “Pas de Calais” diversionary point where Obama squandered all of his ‘fire-wall’ resources.

“Sandy will have no impact on this election”

I hope you are safe, dry and in a floodfree zone. Those of us here in Wisconsin always hope for a rainy, windy, cold day for any election day. GOP voters will get to the polls no matter what, where Dems want to stay warm and dry and tend not to go vote. ha.

Broken glass GOP - NOTHING will stop us for voting R/R. Take your like minded relatives and neighbors to the polls, BTW.

It’s Democrat territory that is being fought over, not Republican territory.

That alone tells us who is winning.

You can say that again!

From your lips to God’s ear.

He’s the only one that can buffer the voter fraud.

The ARG sample was 52% women, with Bambi leading them by 8 points. Mitt led by 11 among men.

I don't know what the typical turnout by gender would be, but this may explain why this poll is so close.

If obama stayes holed up in the situation room watching the storm he won’t have to answer any questions about Benghazi. But I still don’t think it’s going to help him. The truth of the matter is 45% of the people in this country worship him and think he can do no wrong. Fortunately for the country 45% won’t be enough. From my keyboard to God’s ears.

My wife and I always say grace at the dinner table and we always ask God to help Romney and this country. Tonight I told Him if He’d do this I wouldn’t bother him anymore after the election.

Colorado is in the bag. Early and absentee are R+3.5. In THE swing county in the state, Jefferson County, it’s R+6.5. Hard numbers.

Latest polls show Romney +9 over 0 among UAF’s.

Unfortunately, 52F/48M is right. That’s exactly what it was in 2008.
