In contrast to a recent survey finding that respondents in 21 countries around the world favor President Obama over Mitt Romney by a significant margin, a new opinion poll in Israel suggests that Jews in that country would be much happier to see the Republican candidate win.

Fifty-seven percent of Jewish respondents said that, “when it comes to Israel’s interests,” they would prefer Romney as the next U.S. president, compared to 22 percent who said the same of Obama.

Among Israeli Arab respondents, Obama was favored by a 45-15 point margin.

The Peace Index poll, a project of Tel Aviv University and the independent Israel Democracy Institute, was conducted last week and released on Monday. …

Any American Jew that votes for Obama should wear a band around their arm emblazoned with “Anti-Israel Jew Obamabot Traitor”. Obama has thrown the great state of Israel under the bus, period!!! Shame!!!

Interesting, this same polling outfit reported that Amalekites has a 15% favorable opinion of Moses, 80% percent unfavorable, 5% favoring Ross Perot.

I think support for Romney is much higher. This is from Tel Aviv University, the heart of the left wing who would support Obama. McCain ran at 85 per cent in exit polls of American Israelis who actually voted and McCain never fell below 70 per cent against Obama in polls. In four years Obama has not won any friends here.

22% of Israeli Jews prefer Obama. 22% of the Military prefers Obama. Apparently, at least 22% of any group is suicidal or self-hating.

Well, it's not their business, but I'm a bit surprised at 22%, most polls put Obama favorability in the singel digits in Israel.

Yes, I was surprised at that number of 22% wanting Zero to win. I would have thought it was no higher than 10%.

As for 2008, I recall specifically that the vote of Americans abroad in Israel was believed to be McCain 75%, Obama 25%. This year, I'd expect Romney to do better than that, perhaps 85% or more. I know that the Republican Jewish Coalition has been doing a good job in Israel organizing the American voters there.

When and if you get any results on the Americans abroad vote in Israel this year, please pass it along to us.

I think that’s about right. About the same number oppossed the USA war with Japan/Germany in WWII.
