GALLUP: OBAMA'S EARLY VOTE ADVANTAGE COLLAPSES 22-POINTS OVER 2008
Breitbart Big Government ^ | October 30,2012 | JOHN NOLTE

Posted on 10/30/2012 8:19:18 AM PDT by Hojczyk

My pal Guy Benson found a juicy nugget that helps to bring more clarity to the news from Gallup yesterday that shows Romney leading Obama in the early vote by a full seven points, 52-45%. Almost exactly four years ago (October 28, 2008), according to Gallup,

Obama was massacring John McCain among early voters with a fifteen-point lead, 55-40%. That means, at least according to Gallup, that Obama's early vote advantage has dropped 22 points when compared to '08.

Benson also notes that the percentage of voters who have or intend to vote early was 33% in 2008 and remains at 33% today. As Don Surber said in this tweet, "People don't wait in line to vote for the status quo[.]"

In his email to me, Benson makes The Point: "Obama had a 55/40 lead on McCain with early voters in '08, but only led by 3 pts with the election day crowd. He ended up winning by 7 overall."

In other words, among those who actually voted on Election Day, Obama's advantage over McCain was only three-points. Obama won by seven overall because of the early vote margins he had accumulated. If Gallup is correct about 2012 and Romney being ahead by seven with early voters, that means Obama's in very deep trouble. Even polls that show Obama with a small lead in states like Ohio confirm Romney will win among those who vote on Election Day.

Toast, he’s toast unless he can declare Martial Law due to widespread rioting on the Eastern Seaboard. I suspect they are assembling their allies at Occupy Wall Street, SEIU and the New Black Panther Party. We’ll know tonight which coarse Zero decides to take retirement to Hawaii, or Dictatorship.

I still think early voting is a bad idea.

Someday a candidate is either going to die or get caught in a Jerry Sandusky-type scandal two weeks before the election, and still win based on the strength of votes cast early.

Then America will have its “oh, shiite!” moment.

I suspect word has gone out to these groups to behave themselves. Pictures of minorities rioting and looting will only move the election results further toward Romney.

Agree in principal. In todays case however our minds have been made up for
a long time, and the ballot is actually a 2 pager, front and back, with constitutional amendments involved.

We didn’t want to get caught waiting in long lines as people tried to decipher
what those meant, and delayed the process.

Bravo! That’s a good one.

Hopefully the base of the Democrat party realizes they are in a hopeless situation, and they don’t turn out.

Neither party, or the media, want the truth to come out about where this race really stands. The Dems can hardly afford to allow a total collapse in turnout, or they’ll even lose the dog catcher elections. The media needs the money, and the GOP doesn’t want its own base to come up short.

The first sign of trouble is going to come out of NH, when the GOP has a surprising advantage, in what was supposed to be an Obama lean.

The really, really big risk here, is not being prepared. It is incredibly important to have the right kind of food, beverage, and company to this historical election!

You make a valid point. But, conversely, my spouse and I already voted straight ticket so if the Lord takes us before election day we have left our vote for the sake of our progeny.

It’s over but the cryin’...Obama voters from 2008 will not be going to the polls on November en masse as they did in 2008. Which means Romney by about 8% as Dick Morris has predicted.

November 6th will be National Obama Repudiation Day....

The 2010 midterm elections, the recall election of Gov. Scott Walker in WI and the Chic-Fil-A Day are all indications of American’s strong urge to repudiate Obama and the libs for their misgoverning of America.

It will be a long time before they will be elected to high national office if you consider 2 terms for Romney-Ryan and then potentially 2 terms for Ryan-?...

Not surprised by this at all. Sure, Obama is going to get his Democrat machine to turn out for him, but there's none of that starry-eyed "hope and change" enthusiasm that we saw four years ago.

Fortunately we do not see that kind of silliness applied to Romney/Ryan as well. I detest the cult of personality. We need competent leadership from our president, not presidents hanging out with rap stars and doing the Letterman show.

I don't want our president to be "cool" and hip (not that Obama was ever that). I just want somebody with private sector executive experience that can get the nation's economy moving in the right direction again.

The base of the democratic party doesn’t think it’s remotely possible that Obama may actually lose.
