Jennifer Griffin and Bret Baier are the only people in the media who are doing their jobs right now. IMHO. Jennifer is really kicking some butt. If Obama was a Republican, Hollyweird would already be making movies about what she is doing.
So crossing the border wasn’t an issue for an unarmed drone; Obama apparently approved that. Stupid, stupid, stupid if it was unarmed when it could as easily have been armed. You don’t have to use the weapons if you decide not but you don’t even have that option if you don’t give yourself the option.
And why was Woods painting that target?
The trouble with having been fed lie after lie after lie already is that nobody has any way of knowing what to believe from ANY of these “official” sources. They’re going to have to start showing the documentation before we can believe anything that comes out of their mouths. Their credibility has long ago been spent.

I agree on the angle that this was sort of pre-arranged deal that went south. There was never meant for our military defense to get involved.
I doubt one sends drones up unless you have some reason. It's not like hanger queens need to get the dust blown out every now and again.
That being said, the former SEAL was painting a target because he knew a drone was over head. I doubt (again) you go about painting unless you think something is capable of responding, erstwhile revealing your position.
Note I said "something" not some one is capable of responding.
We are learning, all too sadly, that some one is NOT capable of doing jack sh*t.

I can’t help but think that if our people were getting hit by professionally-accurate grenade hits, the ability to disperse those people, scare them, or interrupt their accuracy in any way would have been indispensable. There is no excuse for not having our full range of capabilities available in that situation. No excuse. None.
Somebody in the comments section said that moving the base to fire the mortars would take time, and the target could have been painted to try to get the attackers to move, delaying any more hits until the help from the Libyan militia could get there on foot - which happened at daylight and there was apparently no resistance once the Libyan “security” showed up. The thing that stands out to me, though, is that if it’s so laborious and slow to move the mortar-fire, we could have very accurately hit the exact people doing the damage, if only somebody had allowed us to have our full range of options available - which is standard protocol that would be done automatically unless vetoed by Obama.

Notice that 0bama kept stoking the riots by constantly mentioning ‘the anti-islam movie’.. He did this for the purpose of setting the Middle East ablaze in riots to provide cover for the Benghazi event and was perhaps attempting to even overshadow it. 0bama is professionally schooled in Alinsky/Soros tactics and uses them constantly.
