FOX News foreign policy analyst Catherine Herridge told Greta Van Susteren Wednesday, "From what I see the State Department has culpability in the death of the US Ambassador and three Americans."
This followed the damning memo that was released today signed by Ambassador Stevens in August and sent to the State Department. The classified cable on August 15 warned the Obama Administration that the Benghazi consulate could not withstand a "coordinated attack."

The secret August cable by Stevens saying that the place couldn’t withstand a coordinated attack and AQ had training camps in the area suggests that Stevens saw this coming from a mile away. And made sure that Clinton could also see it from a mile away.

I don't know. During the revolution, the US had offices in a hotel in Benghazi. Once it was over, the emassy moved back to Tripoli. At some point we set up a US mission in Benghazi (technically not a consulate) and acquired the compound, which was supposed to be an interim facility. There was also the annex, that really was run by the CIA. According to released information, the feeling on the ground was that they should move the entire operation to the annex, which was more defensible.

The British had their ambassador in Tripoli like we did. They never pulled out their ambassador. This past summer, the British ambassador's motorcade was hit by an assassination attempt while he was visiting Benghazi. After that, the Brits closed their mission in Benghazi based on that attack along with attacks against the Red Cross, the US mission and the Tunisian mission in Benghazi. As Col Wood stated, we were the last flag standing on September 11 and another attack was a matter of not if but when.
There is plenty to hold Obama and Hillary accountable for before and after the September 11 attack. Incompetence and cowardice cost four lives and others injured. We were fortunate that the death toll was not 25 versus 4, thanks to the brave defense of the annex by a few brave men.
When, not if, an attack would occur since we were the last flag standing after AQ had taken out everybody else in Benghazi - and Stevens had alerted the State Department a month ahead of time that the mission would not be able to withstand the attack when it came.
When it came Obama refused to send any assets to the region (other than what they say was an unarmed drone, apparently to simply create war porn for Obama’s viewing pleasure since he had ordered them not to do anything to help). The State Dept sent a crew of 5 from Tripoli.
Somebody ordered the CIA folks at the annex to release 3 captured attackers, and the leader who was identified by face recognition from the surveillance video was captured by the Libyan government and handed over to Obama’s friend the Islamist leader of Turkey, who then refused to let the US question him.
Which is actually not surprising because the guy the Libyan regime (installed with the help of the US) appointed to handle security in Benghazi was himself an Al Qaeda-affiliated operative. Which is exactly what Ghadaffi had warned the western world would happen if he was ousted.
Turkey is one of the countries we were giving Ghadaffi’s weapons to, so they could send them along to Al Qaeda-affiliated Islamists (not freedom-loving secularists)in Syria. So the Obama regime is making sure that what Ghadaffi accurately predicted would happen in Libya.... also happens in Syria.
Times 1000 though, because Syria has not just Manpads that can be looted and lost (and/or redistributed to Islamists by the Obama regime), but also chemical and biological WMD’s that could successfully be deployed against US civilians in the United States, arriving in the US via unchecked direct flights from Iran to Venezuela and smuggled into the US by drug cartels which are cooperating with terrorists AND have similarly been ARMED BY THE US GOVERNMENT.
Does that just about sum up this story?
In my view, Obama allowed his ambassador to die in that Benghazi inferno for one reason: Stevens knew too much.
The heat resulting from the Americans’ deaths was calculated by the WH to amount to far less than the heat that would result from a full blown interrogation of Amb. Stevens for his role in running weapons, first to the Libyan militias thence to the Syrian militias, then finally losing accountability of all those weapons including AA missiles.
Stevens’ death was reckoned a small price to pay. C’est la guerre!
Ed Klein say she does and has already hired lawyers to defend the inevitable congressional inquisition...but that exoneration can only be for the period prior to the attack.
Hillary has NO excuse for her participation in the cover-up, nor does Petraeus...unless they can sell the idea that national security required telling “a little white lie” to the American people to protect some exposed assets or some pending action (not credible, of course).
THIS WHOLE DAM THING STINKS TO HIGH HEAVEN AND NOBOADY IS DOING $HIT!
Hillary's claw prints are all over this attack and denial of help. I've often wondered if she's too slimy for anything to stick, but I do have hope this time and LOVE that the conservative media WILL NOT LET IT GO!
