Elzbieta M. Plackowska, 40, stabbed her son Justin 100 times and Olivia Dworakowski 50 times, prosecutors disclosed during the bond hearing.

Oh wait - the poor little girl was someone elses child. Nevermind.
Looks like this happened a couple miles from my house. Naperville has a reputation for having almost no crime, so this is a major story.
There is something about Naperville that seems to make people want to kill their offspring. There is a story like this every few years out of that town. Maybe it’s the particle accelerator underground, bombarding their brains with cosmic radiation.

Oh my gosh—I grew up in Des Plaines, so I’m familiar with Naperville.
This is a horrible story. 100 times?? Uncontrollable rage and/or mental illness. How was she able to care for another parent’s child? Did she appear normal and then somehow snapped?
Very tragic, any way you look at it.
Very unusual. Slavic surnamed victims and perpetrator. Hope “The Trib” follows this up because it sounds like this was drug induced. If so; What was this woman taking ? So we get it off the market.

Or, they could simply go over to Naperville Central HS and visit “Butch”. NCHS has a peculiar claim to fame as the only high school to have their own mummy.
I have lived in Naperville since the late ‘80s. It is still as you describe it. I’m sure that the entire community grieves over this horrendous crime - it’s certainly hitting me hard.
