Full Title:This Is Your Brain On Politics: Neuroscience Reveals Brain Differences Between Republicans and Democrats

ScienceDaily (Nov. 1, 2012) — New research from the University of South Carolina provides fresh evidence that choosing a candidate may depend largely on our biological make-up. That's because the brains of self-identified Democrats and Republicans are hard-wired differently and may be naturally inclined to hold varying, if not opposing, perceptions and values. This study showed a strong link with broad social connectedness with Democrats, and a strong link with tight social connectedness with Republicans.

With the U.S. presidential election just days away, new research from the University of South Carolina provides fresh evidence that choosing a candidate may depend more on our biological make-up than a careful analysis of issues.

That's because the brains of self-identified Democrats and Republicans are hard-wired differently and may be naturally inclined to hold varying, if not opposing, perceptions and values. The USC study, which analyzed MRI scans of 24 USC students, builds on existing research in the emerging field of political neuroscience.

Just trying to balance things out since the broadly socially minded liberals abort their offspring. This is why I don't mind abortion - the "right" people don't do it.

I miss science that wasn't funded by government and actually produced stuff we could use (electricity, nuclear power, medicine, spaceflight etc.).

Conservatives “add negative numbers”. That is why we have a grasp of economics, engineering, and hard sciences.

Liberals can not add negative numbers, but they know how to “take away from” another number. That is why they have a grasp of socialism, communism, and other make-believe sciences.
Liberals are pretty good with “gozintas” too. Such as 3 gozinta 9 three times. Or Tommy's Daddy gozinta Tommy's other Daddy every night.

You can turn any Republican into a Democrat by removing the brain and replacing it with a calves liver.

All sane people start out with an empty glass.

It’s just what Leftists have decided to fill it with that causes an area of concern.

Different brains? LMAO, no quicker way to make your opinions irrelevant...

One need only think of the people who used to be Democrats, and are now Republicans, to understand the brain is not the problem. The personal choice is.

Does this looney writer think they swap out brains when changing parties?

Science Daily? Are you sure this wasn’t Psychiatric Daily?

When I was a young skull full o’ mush my mother made me read a book about the Eugenics Movement (she was very involved in Pro Life causes)

One of these books opened with a long historical speech on the subject. It invited you to guess whether it was the work of Hitler or Teddy Roosevelt. Then it invited you to turn the page for the answer.

It wasn’t Hitler.

Was a real eye opener as virtually none of this was taught in my history classes at school.

The euthanasia the Nazis implemented on the mentally ill, genetically flawed at the time was an ideology, practice taken from American doctor, geneticist pioneers in the field in the 1920’s.
