Anti-Obama office vandalized for second time in past week

SQUIRREL HILL, Pa. — For the second time in the past week, an anti-Obama office in Squirrel Hill was vandalized.

According to police, two vandals were caught on surveillance camera spray-painting the front window of a building that houses a Jewish group that promotes the message of defeating President Barack Obama.

Group coordinator Josh Wander said he's disappointed the building has been vandalized a second time.

"It happened once last week and we thought that was an isolated incident. Clearly it's not, and it's a campaign thing that's going on," Wander said.

Authorities said the vandals spray-painted an H over an F to change the message from "Fire Obama" to "Hire Obama." The vandals also wrote "Elect Obama" on the glass.

"Our message is very effective, and clearly it's pressing buttons. Unfortunately, some people don't know how to act in a democratic society," Wander said.

According to Wander, he's in favor of defeating Obama because he said his policies are bad for Israel.

Just to clarify, Squirrel Hill is a traditionally Jewish neighborhood in the City of Pittsburgh. The article notwithstanding, there is no "Squirrel Hill, PA"

And sadly, Squirrel Hill truly WAS Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood (the late Fred Rogers lived there for many years)

I guess the funniest thing I’ve seen recently was a car with an 0bama 2012 sticker on the trunk lid. It looked like someone had taken a sledge hammer and smashed the sticker, and the trunk lid along with it, of course.

They should leave the vandalism up instead of removing it, and just put up a sign with an arrow pointing to it, saying “This is what Obama supporters think of freedom of speech”.
