Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz Endorses Barack Obama

Grace Wyler
Nov. 1, 2012, 4:38 PM

Following in the footsteps of New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz announced on CNBC Thursday that he is endorsing President Barack Obama for re-election.

Schultz's endorsement is surprising, given his vocal abstinence from politics this election cycle. In August 2011, Schultz called for a halt on campaign donations until both parties found common ground on the country's long-term fiscal issues.

Just another reason to avoid Starbucks. Anyway, their coffee tastes burnt to me.

Starbucks has never been anything other than left-wing.

Besides I buy from the small shops. They may be just as liberal, but at least they keep it to themselves.

There’s no such thing as a free lunch...or endorsement. My guess is that like Walmart, Starbucks is getting lots of EBT card (food stamp) revenue.

Yep! Every bean has been over roasted - burnt! Just like Community Coffee does theirs.

High priced burnt coffee. Every store is chock full of liberals. Not surprised at all.

They have in the past supported the 2nd amendment. I guess they will "support" what ever will get people in the store.

Our son says they over-roast the beans. I think their coffee tastes like something drained out of an old VW.

Most of their customers are “cool” people and gals who tell themselves they are only having coffee when they get an eight-hundred calorie coffee drink and a 1,000 calorie muffin as large as a football.

With all the people that can’t find jobs, they have more than enought time to drink his swill and make him even richer.

Yep That burnt taste is why they offer so many Lattes laced with cream flavorings!

Not surprising. The Obama presidency has provided Starbucks with plenty of cheap, overeducated labor.

I no longer frequent Starbucks.

I have taken exception to the fact that Schultz is lauded for his support of gay rights while Chik-fil-a, Hobby Lobby, and others are persecuted for their support of Christian values. If this is a battle between cultures, then let’s wage it.

I was going to call for a boycott of Sorebutts.

However their coffee is so vile - like burnt tires - that I imagine many already boycott the business.
