Noonan: How Far Obama Has Fallen
WSJ ^ | 11/2/2012 | Noonan

And then it all changed. At a certain point he lost the room.

Books will be written about what happened, but early on the president made two terrible legislative decisions. The stimulus bill was a political disaster, and it wasn't the cost, it was the content. We were in crisis, losing jobs. People would have accepted high spending if it looked promising. But the stimulus was the same old same old, pure pork aimed at reliable constituencies. It would course through the economy with little effect. And it would not receive a single Republican vote in the House (three in the Senate), which was bad for Washington, bad for our politics. It was a catastrophic victory. It did say there was a new boss in town. But it also said the new boss was out of his league.

Then health care, a mistake beginning to end. The president's 14-month-long preoccupation with ObamaCare signaled that he did not share the urgency of people's most immediate concerns—jobs, the economy, all the coming fiscal cliffs. The famous 2,000-page bill added to their misery by adding to their fear.

Voters would have had to trust the president a lot to believe his program wouldn't raise their premiums, wouldn't limit their autonomy, wouldn't make a shaky system worse.

But they didn't trust him that much, because they'd just met him. They didn't really know him.

“....At least George W. Bush, if need be, could take the controls of AF-1. The only thing Obama is qualified to operate on the plane is the toilet.”
***********************************************************************************
Nahh....he can’t actually operate the toilet. The extent of his expertise is filling the toilet.

I am here in the northeast (Hudson Valley to be precise) and I have a sense of déjà vu.
1) Economy is ruins
2) America being pushed around in the middle east
3) Democratic president
4) Gas lines
The only good I see is election day is only five days away!

abc was forced to show and report on the disaster building today. I have been vindicated 100%. People are food-less, power-less and have no water... sawyer was in the home of an elderly black woman... living on the 17th floor with no electricity, out of water and no food. She was screaming as to why no government help had arrived. They showed mile long gas lines and reported fist fights and gun fights at gas stations... tempers are out of control and this is destroying obama’s image of two days ago. They have shown huge generators sitting idle in Central Park for the marathon... they are just backup but could suppl power to thousands each.

abc had to report that this election now hinges on today;s jobs report... yeah right... well there will be many pro obama voters that will stay home or vote for Romney because now the messiah;s lies are affecting them... because he finally lied to his own people and they are now suffering greatly because of his inabilities and lies.

Obama did look "presidential" though. At least the MSM is happy.

The only thing that exceeds a leftist’s capacity for being wrong is their capacity for ignoring the idea that they possibly COULD BE wrong.

People like Noonan put this turtle up on the post,
then they wonder why he looks so strange up there.

I suspect that Noonan’s obsequious praise of the liberal rulers of New Jersey, New York City and New York state may be a bit premature—just as her past praise of Obama was premature and, as it turns out, terribly wrong.

Has anyone else noticed the developing meme (or at least trial balloon), among that liberal ruling elite and its media servants, of “the Red Cross is doing an atrocious job—maybe folks shouldn’t contribute to them any more”? Maybe “blaming the Red Cross” will serve the same purpose for the developing New York “recovery” incompentance & resulting disaster as “blaming ‘the video’” served in the Benghazi fiasco and subsequent coverup.

There may still be enough time for people to realize that he can’t save them before the election.

"A softly catastrophic storm..."

Softly catastrophic?

Peggy, that's awfully close to "a legitimate rape".

Peggy was envious and wanting what Chris Matthews was getting from Obama. She just could not think straight.

Sorry Peggy, it’s all about the juvenile, loathing, actor that Obama always ways. People wanted and asked for a Hollywood President, they got a Hollywood President, along with his lack of etiquette, bad attitude, always blaming others, and always blaming someone who he happens to not like, and writing like a little kid upset at motherly discipline regarding his legal guardian grandmother, who by all known accounts supported his educational and career pursuits. If I referred to my own mother like Obama referred to his mother, people in my family would be honestly p%^&% off, and deservedly so. I’m so thankful his grandmother is passed on, so she doesn’t have to put up with her grandson, and her legal child’s sophmoric writing, which was so immature that I wouldn’t even write such things in retrospect, but yet what’s worse is that I’m just an average joe, and Obama is president of the United States. That’s all he ever has been, one of those tantrum-throwing celebrities like Dennis Rodman. who just happens to have gotten elected president. I’m sorry, but Obama’s ego is wrong, America isn’t all about him, and it’s time to replace him with someone who is less of a flaming juvenile narcissist in Washington.

Stay at home is more likely for plenty of Obama voters, just because plenty of them refuse to see Republicans as anything good, in fact out of those Obama voters that have bothered talking to me, all I have heard is the following reasoning regurgitated repeatedly. “Republicans are so thuggish and evil that no matter how bad the Democrat, he will always be better than the GOPer.” It’s pretty much a false religion that keeps some people going.

What’s missing is how Obama came to his Marxist idealogy.

Suspected communist grandparents (in the 50s, people rarely moved to Hawaii from Kansas -- sent there by CPUSA?). Radical leftist/communist mother who studied Russian in college (why Russian? probably an infatuation with Russian communism like most CPUSA members and dupes). Knocked up and sham brief "marriage" to radical communist african with long family communist roots. Obama lives in Indonesia during a virulent anti-American years. Grandfather hooks him up with radical communist Marshal Davis in his teen years. At Oxy, he says he sought out the Marxist professors. He was a communist when he arrived on the mainland at age 18 to attend college. Everything was formed and set by age 18.
