I've always been curious why Maine is not a solid Republican state. The people up there seem to be of a hardy sort, self-reliant, tough, and they never bitch and complain about the constant snowstorms in winter and the mosquitoes/black flies in summer (all six weeks of it).
Ditto for Vermont. I don't get it.

Maine would be a solid Republican state but for the social issues. One of two states that never voted for FDR.

If it were not for Massholes having vacations homes in Maine, it would be a Red state.

No idea. My Dad was from Van Buren in Aristook County. He grew up in a large family of self reliant people and never voted for a dem his entire life. If he were alive today, he would be disgusted at this parasite in the oval office.

Real Mainers wear Carhartt.
When you see some joker in a cable knit sweater with J Crew Shorts on, that’s a Masshole.

I don't know what's up with Maine.
Massholes moving in over the years?
Farmers wanting gov't handouts?
Small industrial/logging towns with heavy Union participation?

And again the big story here too is that ZerO is under 50%. Do I detect a pattern?

Maine is nearly Lilly White, and wholesome.. If they had to tolerate the riffraff, the permanent taker class can inflict on the population, they would be an ice cold Mississippi..
I know what this sounds like.. Whatever!.. I report you decide.. LOL

I thought that VT got overrun by NYC folks starting in the 60's.
