It would be *so* sweet to see Romney take Michigan. And Pennsylvania for that matter.I’ve got something like 50 hours of space on my DVR and the ability to record two channels at once just in case predictions of a tight race prove true.I think I’ll record C-SPAN and Fox and flip around among the main networks over the air Tuesday night.

A big rainstorm during the day would be great. Stretching from Saginaw/Flint down to Detroit and across Lake Erie to Cleveland.
Fortunately its that day or not at all in Michigan.

Come Wednesday, Nate Silver will have vanished under “mysterious” circumstances. FBI will find evidence of:
1. Stacks of Jolt Cola
2. Pictures of Mitt Romney on a dart board
3. An empty bottle of Milk of Magnesia
4. A map to Ft Marcy Park and evidence of a rambling suicide note

Went there and played with the map. Romney has to win one of the red Midwest/ northern states plus a western state like CO or NV. He cannot do it with just one. And in a few scenarios, he really could use NH’s ev’s too.
Close doesn’t count if Obama gets 270.
Everyone, even in red states, go vote Romney. Your vote might matter. People in the west, you could save the night. CO, NV, OR : any of these states could save us from another 4 with O.

I see the same things pretty much everywhere I go in Michigan. I am not overly confident, but I just have this feeling that MI might go to Romney. We’ll see soon enough.

Got it from a newscast at the crack of dawn on either 2 or 4 TV about a 1.5 to 2 weeks ago...
They said Obee was ahead, then.......
They showed Maps of Oakland, Macomb, and Wayne and R & R where 9, 16, and 2 points ahead respectively.
If they are truly up that much in the Wayne burbs to offset Detroit, stick a fork in him he is done...

Michigan has 16 electoral votes.

Romney has done his part better than I think any of us imagined.
GOTV or it's four more of Obama-Biden malaise.
Vote & drag 'right thinking' people to the polls with you.

It will all come down to turnout. Whichever side gets the most people to show up, will win. Actually, the R side will need to be at least 5% ahead in order to overcome vote fraud in Detroit.

This poll also listed polling on the ballot proposals, all are losing badly, except prop 1 which is winning by a small margin.

I'm so glad we don't have it here. It amazes me how many conservatives panic over vote fraud while happily holding the gates wide open by supporting early voting.
Voting should be harder, not easier.

Prop 1 is to keep the emergency manager law which allows an emergency manager to toss out union contracts as a means of getting city finances in order.
Basically the emergency manager acts in a similar capacity to a bankruptcy attorney.

I agree! Early voting allows the lazybutts to vote easier.

I take pride in the fact that I go out in any kind of weather to stand in line on a designated day to exercise my right to vote.
I see it as somewhat of a social event to visit with neighbors and catch up on local news.
