Illinois voters are being asked to approve of a constitutional amendment tomorrow which will allow addressing of the pension problem which unaddressed will further crush Illinois taxpayers.
Michael Madigan, the real Democrat power in the state, stopped Gov. Quinn from doing anything about the pension issue earlier this year.
This amendment would allow this address. And could stop any reform from being tied up in the courts or thrown out.
The libs and unions are opposing it.
Vote "yes".
Tnx, that’s how I was reading it. Dem ads here in Springfield running saying its against workers etc. So many will believe that. Sad.
I have seen no ads here in Chicago (not that I watch much tv). The only references to it are lawn signs in ultra-liberal Oak Park. When the information arrived in the mail describing it and its intent, I figured this was the RATs way of going around the Unions since they could then say “Oh, this is the way the voters want it, not the party.” Then, the reforms would not be blamed on the Party.
It came out of nowhere and you know how that usually goes in Illinois.
How did it even get on the ballot if the Party was not pushing it?
Thanks for the heads-up!
Hmmm ... the plot thickens ...
