Just voted in blue county in Iowa (Story county, home of Iowa State U).
Very few people in line (less than 10). But then again, these blue folks don’t tend to get up till later in the morning.
I supported Santorum and Cain before that. Resources are important, but principles are more important. If the ship is well outfitted, it doesn’t much help us if they aren’t sailing in the right direction.
I’m a big republican my wife is a big democrat her whole family is. One rule in my house no politics ever. We went to vote together today when she got off work at 7am. After we voted and got back in the car she looked at me and said I just want to talk politics real quick and let you know I voted for mitt romney. I almost fainted. And she voted for josh mandell the republican running for senate against sherrod brown. I couldn’t freaking believe it. She’s a huge democrat and we don’t talk politics because it leads to fights. She said obama and brown had their chance and they just made things worse so its time for something new. I’m very proud of my wife today.
The script for Romney’s GOTV callers isn’t very good - it doesn’t have any real specifics to help convince people who don’t support Romney to vote for him.
Can any of you help me find a short list of talking points I can use in my calls? I’m going to start looking on my own.
Thank you for being a friend to me back in 2007 when I was still thinking about Mr. Romney but supporting another candidate. Today is a big day, and I hope all will go well.
Good for you my friend. That is very encouraging.
Reporting in from the Upper East Side of Manhattan...we now have paper ballots instead of the old lever machines so this created lots of confusion. I was also sent to another polling site a few blocks away by a poll worker with 5-inch purple sparkle nails shoving pastry in her mouth...where I was then told to go back to that site OR just fill out an affidavit. What??? I want to vote at the proper place—screamed I. So I raced back in the cold to my original polling site of ten years and found my district. The woman behind me was chatting with her husband about Barry and the Boss, the Christie call and how she couldn’t imagine our country with that scary VP—what’s his name?
That is GREAT!
God Bless You!
As a Veteran of Katrina and Wilma, I have a little idea of what you must be enduring.
I hope you have Power, Gas, Heat, FOOD, CLEAN WATER, AND ALL THE COMFORTS OF THE AMERICAN DREAM VERY SOON!

Happy Birthday, Laz.
Did you bring enough cake for everyone?
Cheers!
It was a faux pas de deux! :-)
Wow. Congratulations! Very proud of here indeed.
Yes prayers up for mitt romney today. I humbly ask for the Lord’s blessings to install new leadership in our country. With God all things are possible.
Rahm .... is that you? Love the tutu!! :-)
I haven’t voted (Massachusetts) yet, but as I was traveling in to work, the radio host was listing reports from around the area... most saying lines were in the hundreds, and 45 mins waits or longer.
Not only is she pretty but smart, too!!
Very happy for you and very proud of your wife. Tell her she made a LOT of conservative friends today! I congratulate her on having the eyes to see. Give her a hug from all of us!
I’m proud of her too!
