Question: Ideas about how to realistically "Go Galt"?

I'll add that my apartment is very weird for most people. I keep it terribly tidy. There are plenty of books (from back when I did buy books, and even then most are from yard sales, etc), and there's a normal amount of furniture and a few lamps, but little else. Rather than put a lot of pictures on the walls, I paint the walls different colors, so when you first walk in, there's no sense of emptiness or blankness... just an eerie silence.

People tend to walk in, slow down abruptly, and then start looking around like nervous cats with the hair on their necks going up. They can tell something's different but they don't always know what it is at first. When they see the kitchen, they realize: it's like a vacation cabin in the woods: there's couches, chairs, tables, beds, and lamps, but that's it.

Then they stare at me for a while without saying much. I suspect that when they go in the bathroom, they look in the medicine cabinet, and when I'm not in the kitchen, they check the freezer for human heads. LOL!

About 2 million of those votes were actually for Sarah Palin, not ol' "Reach Across the Aisle" McQueeg. The other 2 million resulted from massive Democrat fraud and media malpractice.

Do NOT put anything in bank safe deposit boxes! In a natural disaster it could be difficult or impossible to get to your bank and in a bigger crisis (think bank holiday) there’s nothing to stop the feds from taking whatever they want out of your “safe” box.

I also recommend a that you unplug all electric items when not in use. I started doing that 5 years ago and was shocked by a 2/3rds reduction in my KwH usage. I unplug the microwave, coffee pot, washer/dryer, etc! I have to leave the fridge and main TV (programming) plugged in and I don’t mess with the 240 w stove.

Give it a try, you will be shocked!

I wonder if all these “blue” communities will be happy about the additional taxes they’ll be paying for all those new students...UHHH, they already ARE paying for the public schools.

the next best alternative is bankrupt the system.....Gee, how would you do that? IT ALREADY is!! How can we stop the spending?

I for one have been a very charitable indiviudal through the years. After this election, my contributions to the poor go to $0. Let the government take care of them. They voted for him.

I hope you guys give to those you know who are in need...if you belong to a local congregation then they deserve some help.

We give to charities we trust...Samaritan’s Purse for example.
