I feel sorry for Obama...look at the economy he inherited.

Thank you for the chuckle. It helps.

Nope, he is telling us like it is. The Country has now accepted the freebie mentality.

YES! Best Rush show EVER, explaining how and why "responsibility" lost so big yesterday. I wish we could get a DVD of this show today.

NO! Conservatism IS all the things Rush has been talking about: "traditional" American paths to prosperity. A moral code. Hard work. The family life exemplified by men like Romney and Ryan. It is rejected. It is SCORNED. Nobody cares, nobody wants to hear it! They know, and they don't care! This is the reality.

Romney moved up in the polls way after Akin.

Not Akin's comment, Mourdock's comment.

Sorry but f*ck abortion and birth control. It’s not putting food on my table, it’s not putting a roof over my head, it’s certainly not stopping obamacare. We are royally screwed because the majority of people like yourself can’t stop blabbering incessantly about abortion and birth control. Wait for the pink slips to start right around Christmas time. Blame yourselves as well as the ignorant liberal moochers for the loss, not Mitt Romney and Rush.

Ask God for forgiveness! Christianity can save us

Did you ask for forgiveness after obama was elected in 08? How’d that work out for ya.

Seems to me that Dodd-Frank was like the health care bill too, an empty bill that the regulators would fill in later, as Sebelius is doing now. There was something recent they had to decide on, I can’t remember what it is exactly.

I think we all feel that way.

Republican turnout was worse for Romney than it was for McCain.

But why? He kicked ass in the first debate and did a decent job in the next two debates. He nominated Paul Ryan as his VP. Rallies late in the race were HUGE! Yet he gets less overall votes? Especially when all along Independents were supposedly breaking for Romney in a big way? It just does not all add up.

Fawn, I can't tell you how many times I've broken down today. I keep seeing comments from people (FB), it's as if they have no concept of what actually happened yesterday.... the "we'll get 'em next time" types.... I just want to reach thru and shake them and make them understand what has just happened to my kids' futures!

As I heard on the radio this morning, someone was saying that Hispanics don’t have the history of hating America that blacks have and a lot of Hispanics have some of the same ideals as republicans... hard working, anti-illegals, gay marriage etc. It’s an opportunity to reel them into our party.Good analogy.

Also, Blacks vote for race. Perfect example is Oprah. She championed women for years and all her clueless lemmings thought she would definitely vote for Hillary. Nope, skin color trumps gender with blacks.

A Hedge or a Bet? Trade Highlights Ambiguity in Volcker Rule(Dodd-Frank)
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2882920/posts

Regulators have a July deadline to finish the rule, but officials have said it appears unlikely they will meet it.

The October draft rule issued by the Fed, the Securities and Exchange Commission and other regulators permits what is known as “portfolio hedging,” or buying and selling in order to reduce the risk of a portfolio of securities held at the bank.

Messrs. Merkley and Levin say regulators inserted a “loophole” into the rule’s draft.

The Dodd-Frank law says banks can conduct hedging activities related to “individual or aggregated positions.”

It is unclear whether that includes buying or selling to hedge against an economic downturn or another broad event that is difficult to match with individual security purchases.

You are wrong, you dump the social conservatism and you will be even more marginalized. We lost last night because we now live in a nanny state. A nanny state comes into existence when the traditional family structure breaks down and so many people begin to look to the government to replace those missing familial safeguards. The country will not move to the right again until we repair the lack of morals in our society.
