FORT PIERCE — Republican U.S. Rep. Allen West wants courts to order elections officials to impound ballots and voting machines in preparation for a recount following his narrow loss to Democratic challenger Patrick Murphy.
Motions for injunctions were filed in St. Lucie and Palm Beach counties. Information wasn’t immediately available from Martin County, the third county in congressional District 18.
West trails Murphy by 2,456 votes or 0.78 percent. That’s not close enough to trigger a state law that requires a recount for races decided by 0.5 percent or less. But West claims irregularities in the way St. Lucie County counted its early ballots.

I think you hit on something here! He *CAN* be speaker this January... the Speaker of the House need not be a [current or even former] member. All that needs to happen is his name be put in the ring, and then he gets the votes. Should easily surpass the deal-maker.
Well at least someone is fighting. Certainly Romney didn’t.
WA State is also reviewing all the ballots. There were 20,000 ballots thrown out just a few hours after voting closed and everyone of those voters will be tracked down.

How DARE he? You are only supposed to recount votes if the Democrat is behind. Then you recount them as long as it takes for the Democrat to get ahead. Then you stop.

I hope, if there is fire to this smoke, Lt Col West can flesh it all out. I was just sick when I saw that West was losing.
I’d certainly have them impound the absentee ballots since it’s been revealed that the Obama campaign took 2010 Census reports and ‘helped” their voters get absentee ballots. That needs to be investigated, because those absentee ballots could have been gathered and filled in and submitted by the Obama campaign.
Listening to descriptions of how “Democrats got out their ground game” with “superior ability to bring those to the polls who normally would never go” last night...made me realize..what they actually are doing is tracking names that HAVE NOT VOTED IN MANY, MANY elections cycles....and voting them.
A well-funded project, county-by-county..to examine the names signed in at at the polls..and going out to find those individuals..you’ll find they were never physically at he polls..or they themselves never filled out the absentee ballot....or their names in the death registers.
