Seriously, what in the hell is the point any more? We are about to be inundated with Executive Orders and administration maneuvering that will put the final nail in the coffin of the Constitution. What does it matter about Wisconsin or Michigan or any of those places? It’s Muslims, Democrats and minorities. Those people that are conservative had just better move someplace else because there ain’t nothing there no more.

I would have liked to see the emergency manager law stand. ended up voting yes on prop 5 (taxes) but wasn't really concerned 1 way or the other. That said, crushing the union proposals and green energy mandate made for a nice consolation prize.

While I don’t understand (and can never forgive) Michigan voters pulling the lever for Obama and Stabenow in 2012, I was pleased that they shot down the most dishonest ad campaign ever perpetrated - from the Detroit Free Press:

Voters have soundly rejected Proposal 6, the proposed constitutional amendment that businessman Manuel (Matty) Moroun pushed to delay or block the planned New International Trade Crossing bridge between Detroit and Windsor.

With 94% of the state’s precincts reporting, Proposal 6 failed 60%- 40%. A survey of select precincts around the state reported a similar margin of defeat, as did an Election Day poll of 800 actual voters by EPIC-MRA.

With 4796 of 5099 precincts reporting as of Wednesday morning, the count is 2,570,148 votes against the proposal 6 and 1,743,120 in favor.

The defeat marks a stinging rebuke to the 85-year-old Moroun, and makes it more likely that the NITC project backed by Gov. Rick Snyder and Canadian officials will now proceed unimpeded. Moroun’s committee spent more than $33 million on its Proposal 6 campaign, smashing the state record for the most spent by one side on a statewide ballot initiative.

NOTE: Mouroun’s ads showed teachers and first responders suffering job cuts due to this proposal when no US dollars are involved. This bridge crossing is 100% funded by Canada.

Born and raised in Michigan, two degrees from UM. Sorry, but I think the state is a hopeless case. The left-wing nuts may all be confined to the Detroit/Flint axis, but they’re in the majority and always will be. Get out of there and don’t look back. We did, and have never had any regrets. Pretty state, nice people, but owned and operated by union thugs.
