I suspect the FBI was looking at some bits of classified info appearing in a NY Times article, by the junior-journalist involved. They looked at her background....saw Patraeus and went to ask him what his current connection is to her. He probably sensed some massive investigation going on, and admitted what he had been doing...strictly hot passion, no talk. Then they asked to look at his private email situation, and found that she was hacking into his personal email account (Yahoo can tell you from what region you are loggin in from easily). The general at that point suddenly realized that she was literally screwing him in more ways than one. I think the General did the practical thing left....quit.

The curious thing is that he had some political aspirations. Now? I don’t think he will ever run for anything. He will simply retire from the public and live on some ranch out west.

I guess, my friends, it comes down to this. The media was appalled at Watergate...but now we have basically a situation where a president showed his cowardess and let Americans die because he feared not getting re elected.

I cannot believe that we’ve grown, even our media, so callous and heartless than to see the evil and wrong in this, if indeed that is what happened.

What strikes me also, is the cover up seems to span into others like Pinnetta and Ham the General.

Is the media going to just let this drop? Is there not one former Navy Seal out there who wants to know what happened to his comrade?

Mark my words, Obama will be in the same predicament time and time again in the future...What will he do then esp if it means sending troops in to fight Muslims? He won’t.

Right now he is the most powerful man in the world, and he can tell these tin pot dictators what to do....but he won’t..he will cozy up to them....

Anyone who agrees to work as an ambassador for this country in light of all this...is crazy....

Ya, got a good taste of political reality he did... yet, if he puts his house in order, he can easily overcome this and swing the door wide open on this den of cockroaches. Even good moral men fall, but the really wise and courageous moral man confesses his sin and exposes the darkness that endangers us all... God, help him to be such a man...

One way for people to communicate with each other through email without actually sending an email is to share the same email account, log in and leave their messages in a mail folder. This lowers the chance of any email being intercepted if someone had the account flagged. It could very well have been that Petraeus gave her his username and password and that she didn’t hack into the account at all. They were able to communicate with each other by email by logging in and leaving a message without actually sending the message.
