President Obama tonight said he’s interested in seeing an assault weapons ban reintroduced, breaking his silence on the legislation, which has persisted in spite of at least five mass shootings during his term.

I don’t look for congress to allow major gun legislation. I do expect Obama to use his regulatory agencies to go after gun owners in every way possible.
Simple, every gun is an assault on the common decency of the left. Therefore, all guns are assault weapons.
Q. If you commit an assault with a baseball bat, is the bat now an assault weapon?
Oh, we’re already screwed on gun control even with the Rebpublicans holding the House. The UN Small Arms Treaty basically does this and it only requires the Senate to approve it. He has the votes to do it. The House has no say.

When was the last time they passed an anti-gun law and didn’t exempt their government goons?
In the past, they needed both houses and enough politicians who thought gun control was a good idea. The difference is that this time by they have the UN Small Arms Treaty - they only need 34 votes in the Senate and the President.
The local gun store was packed yesterday. Prices haven’t gone up yet.
Yup - Obama and his gang of thugs and communists are racing the Small Arms Treaty through at the U.N.
That ghetto creep and his cabal of communists and traitors at 1600 PA Ave. still have a lot of promises to fulfill to donors that they did not do ni the first term.
The House has no say, true. BUT it takes 2/3 of the Senate to ratify a treaty.
So long as 34 (of 45) Republican Senators stand pat, the Small Arms Treaty is doomed. And I'm less than sure that all 55 Democrats will support it, either.
Same here today. People were buying armloads of ammo and the AR section of the gun area was packed. I’d like to own an AR but am not going to buy it new because of the registration issues.
