Boehner Tells House G.O.P. to Fall in Line
NYT ^ | 11-10-12 | JONATHAN WEISMAN and JENNIFER STEINHAUER

WASHINGTON — On a conference call with House Republicans a day after the party’s electoral battering last week, Speaker John A. Boehner dished out some bitter medicine, and for the first time in the 112th Congress, most members took their dose.

Their party lost, badly, Mr. Boehner said, and while Republicans would still control the House and would continue to staunchly oppose tax rate increases as Congress grapples with the impending fiscal battle, they had to avoid the nasty showdowns that marked so much of the last two years.

Members on the call, subdued and dark, murmured words of support — even a few who had been a thorn in the speaker’s side for much of this Congress.

It was a striking contrast to a similar call last year, when Mr. Boehner tried to persuade members to compromise with Democrats on a deal to extend a temporary cut in payroll taxes, only to have them loudly revolt.

Now, like all great plans, my strategy is so simple an idiot could have devised it. On my command all ships will line up and file directly into the alien death cannons, clogging them with wreckage.

Why do “conservatives” keep reading the NYT and sending people to click on their links? The NYT cannot publish much truth anyway so what is the point at looking at any of it. Rather, consider how poor their finances are and how easy a target they can make. Don’t read their BS, send an email to one of their advertisers and tell them you won’t buy their products so long as they fund the NYT with their advertising money.

Send the NYT to bankruptcy. Boybott them. Boycott Christmas. Take a stand for your principles.

Boehner has to go. Maybe the GOP house members who took a dressing down from this gutless, spineless capon (capon = a castrated chicken) need to go too.

Romney lost for a whole host of reasons not necessary to elaborate on here and too large to do so. But he lost by about 2% of the votes cast.

BOEHNER lost a WHOLE HOST of seats in the House. His pandering to the Democrat left resulting in that idiotic decision about the mandated cuts without a balanced budget didn’t help. It takes more than just brains to get elected - it takes political savvy and so far the GOP has failed to demonstrate ANY.

WERE THE SHOE ON THE OTHER FOOT, and the DEMS had lost, THEY wouldn’t be bucking under to the GOP, compromising THEIR “principles,” or excoriating each other. They would be blaming the GOP!!!!

Much as I HATE the Democrats, they are ALWAYS true to their “principles” - such as they are.

But once AGAIN, conservative Republicans and Americans whom the GOP ALLEGES to represent, are being beat up and hung up to dry by this craven poltroon who should NO LONGER be the Speaker of the House!

DUMP BOEHNER!!!! AND DUMP MCCONNELL!!!!

If they DON’T go, we need ANOTHER party to squeeze out the Romneys, Bushes, McConnells, Christies, Cains, Grahams, Keanes and OTHER GOP wonder-boys and drive them in to the Democrat Party where they belong!!

DO WHAT THE LADY SAYS (Thank you Ex-Texas Redhead) AND CALL THE DAMN NUMBER!!!!!!

God bless you Ex-Texas Redhead and DON’T GIVE UP!!

“Whenever he is up for re-election he has to be primaried. We must not allow any of the lockstep GOP RINOS to go uncontested in their bids for re-election.”

Exactly. All districts are gerrymandered such that the dominant party is re-elected. 90+% of incumbents are returned to office every cycle, making their appointments as lifetime. You will never get rid of them after the primary. It’s probably too late now, the Campaign for Primary Accountability was trying this past primary season. There is really only 1 party and until people start realizing Dems=Pubs and voting them out in primaries it will not change.

Full consumer boycott this Christmas and punish the retailers who overwhelmingly contribute to Dems. Bury the IRS in sloppy hand-written tax returns that they need to hand process themselves. Don’t toss out your junk mail, save it and drop it back in a blue box 20 miles away. Overwhelm the system until the media can’t suppress the story.

0bama is terrible, but remember this is the House everyone thought would hold RINO Romney's feet to the fire.

Now, hopefully we can stop fooling ourselves by running RINOS and get real Conservatives for POTUS.....instead of Etch-A-Sketch "severe" conservatives like Myth.

Romney was proposing the same thing, close the loopholes instead of increasing rates. I was hoping that meant closing loopholes on Obama’s cronies and special interests included. Wonder how much the tax loopholes add up to for green energy companies?

If I were a Republican Congressman and was in on this conference call......here’s how I would react. I would write a hand written note.
Dear Mr. Boehner, If losing an election means giving up on my conservative ideals, you can count me out. I will not cowtow to any demands of the GOP. I represent the people of my state and participate in a body (Congress) that should be making it’s descisions based on what is the best for this country regardless of political party. I will fight for conservative ideals for the next two years of my term and If you or any other GOP leader does not like the way I am doing my job then let the people descide in 2014 whether or not to let me continue to be their representative. I realize that I may not be put on any special committee because of my stance but so be it. I will do what is right for the United States of America and NOT be dictated what to do from you or the GOP. I am a conservative, not a moderate, not a liberal, a conservative. I was elected to my position because of that. Conservative ideals are what will save this country. Conservative and no compromise. Sincerely...

It may be important to organize a communication campaign to all our GOP house members. Vote in new leadership or we stay home in 23 months. Also we have primaries to challenge them that start up in less than a year.
