She’s originally an Arab immigrant. She was friends with Petraeus cuz he was a big Arabist, which is OK. Her sister is a WHISTLEBLOWER LAWYER who probably made the initial call with her sister sitting right next to her.

This sister probably knew exactly what BS legalese to say in order to get them away from burning down churches and actually do some work.

Broadwell looks good to me and I'd consider if she wasn't married. Any time one has a relationship with a married person its not going to end well, here on Earth or the hereafter.

This may be the first time a FReeper cited Madaline Murray O’Hair as an authority on anything! Yes, the rumors were rife throughout the Army during (and after) the war because Eisenhower and Summersby were frequent companions and even confidants. She is 20 years younger than him, but she was nearly 40 when the affair began. So, your point is well taken that she wasn’t some young naive girl straight out of college.

The situation in Libya is more important than the affair...Petraeus needs to testify before congress. But....if the affair began while he was still in uniform (or wrongly out of it) he needs to be recalled and courts-martialed.....the higher the rank the higher the accountability. The army has been rocked lately with a rash of high ranking officers involved in sexual misconduct. It MUST STOP. It is destroying the good order and discipline of the service.

Also, even though a reservist, I believe (now) LTC Broadwell should be subject to military discipline. At a minimum her Top Secret clearance should be pulled immediately. She should NOT be allowed to continue in the Military Intelligence branch. She may have leaked classified material....she is an obvious security breach.

No intelligent CO would want her in their command.

Moonoseta, Black Kettle's daughter was a good looking young woman and GAC saw to that she was taken along as a prisoner after the Wichita fight. Story widely believed in the Indian fighting Army was GAC caught brother Tom having unwanted relations with the lady and beat him up pretty good. Tom was always both hero worshiping and jealous of big brother and trying to grab his Indian girl would fit. Interestingly, the little Big Horn was something of reunion day. Moonesta was there and that probably explains why GAC’s remains were found completely intact and in the process of being bathed in preparation for a real Plains Indian warriors funeral. Tom was found cut into dog food. By whom I wonder? It is an appealing picture though. Moonoseta searching the battlefield for her fallen lover's body who she would see was sent to the Great Spirit in proper fettle. Interestingly enough Libby Custer devoted a chapter in ‘Tenting on the Plains’, I think, profiling and praising Moonoseta. Pretty good if you can get your wife to write praising your girlfriend long after one is dead. Libby was nuts about GAC and I think the loyalty this Cheyenne woman showed to her beloved George warmed some corner of her heart.
