Report: U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers of Michigan possible replacement for CIA director David Petraeus

An affair with biographer Paula Broadwell ended the career of retired General David Petraeus, the head of the Central Intelligence Agency.
Now, Michigan Congressman Mike Rogers, R-Brighton, is on the short list of possible candidates to replace him, according to a report in the New York Times.
From the Times report:
Representative Mike Rogers, Republican of Michigan, is chairman of the House Intelligence Committee and a former [Federal Bureau of Investigation] official and could sail through confirmation hearings and give a bipartisan air to the administration's efforts, as Mr. Petraeus did.
Requests for comment were not immediately answered by Rogers' office.

They can want but they’re unlikely to get it. His is a pretty solidly republican district and has been for a long while.

Gen. David Petraeus is doing it all wrong. He needs to stand in front of the camera, point his finger at it and say,
"I did not have sexual relations with that woman". The democrats would believe him, and the media would say there is nothing here to report, and the matter would be forgotten.
Well, it worked for President Bill Clinton.

DISMANTLE the CIA.

I went to school in East Lansing. That district still has Ingham County. It’s not Washtenaw blue, but it is close. If either Livingston County or the northern part of Oakland do not show up in the polls due to a dud as a candidate, this district could be gone.

From what I've heard about Rogers, he's not much of a fan of what Obama's done with the military. His brother is a general, he served in peacetime, and his wife served in Iraq. I'm not sure he'd give up the intelligence committee chairmanship for a position with Obama as his boss. On the other hand, he may view himself as trying to help the military from an Obama crony who might take that spot.
If Obama picks Rogers, it's to make a play for the district in a special election. That district is a safe district if Rogers is running, but the Lansing area is part of that district and is extremely democrat.

No Republican should serve Dark Lord Huissein.
Especially not one in a competitive US House seat!!!
Let him put a loyal democrap in every position so they have 100% of the blame for the coming disasters.
If Rogers accepts this post he is a traitor and a fool like the blackmailed Betrayus.
