Anti-Obama CEO gives employees a raise instead of a pink slip
CNN ^ | November 12, 2012 | Chris Isidore

David Siegel, the CEO who had warned his employees they'd face layoffs if President Obama was re-elected, gave everyone a 5% raise last week instead.

Siegel isn't backing off his gloomy predictions for the economy under Obama's second term. But he said his company, Westgate Resorts, had record profitability this year and he wanted to share the success with employees, most of whom had not gotten a raise the year before.

The CEO said he believes his employees will need higher wages to deal with increased costs he expects everyone will face under Obama. And he's not backing off his prediction that developments like Obamacare and the Dodd-Frank financial regulations will hurt the economy in the years ahead -- and could lead him to make staff cuts eventually.

Smart man.

CEO’s who pursue Going Galt because The One got re-elected are about to become the focus of the most intense, brutal media vilification campaign ever conceived of. They will be unfavorably compared to Hitler from the bully pulpit and held-out for daily press floggings.

He heads Westgate Resorts where evil one-percenters spend their leisure time? The one-percenters will always have their means, regardless of tax policies.

What’s really funny on the bottom of all the comments on these articles is the absolute stubborn cluenessness of the libs.

You can practically hear their teeth gnashing. “How dare these people layoff, fire, and consolidate! Don’t they know how good Obama is for their companies and workers? It’s only political bias that has them firing employees, they can’t POSSIBLY know how to grow their own companies and make them function!”

A nice gesture, hard work should be rewarded. I hope his company...and the employees, make it. We’ve a long tough road ahead.

They did the same thing in the comments sections on any article I read on the Hostess bakery and the strike. Well, the company had already filed for bankruptcy and needed employees to share some of the increasing healthcare costs..but NOOOOOO, their union called for a strike. Now, 3 plants are closing.

Funny how the ones that are screaming spread it around, want nothing to do with that when it comes to doing “their fair share”. Hope they like the crap cupcake they’ve baked for themselves. They can choke on it.

The one-percenters will always have their means, regardless of tax policies.

Then why complain about going back to Clinton-era marginal rates?

So they need to stay as quiet as possible about it. I was on Slickdeals the other day, a Papa john thread had a negative 9 rating and people were screaming about how evil the company was. (They were all getting thrown off by the mods - it is, after all, a consumer site, not a political one - the same people complaining are the same ones that won’t buy a tv in CA because of the recycling fees!)

But you can’t boycott them all. And you know, for every person who won’t buy from Papa John there is someone who will go out of their way to buy. Witness Chik fil a.

Ah, very clever, bump them into a higher tax bracket so they will take home LESS money after the raise, thanks to Odumbo.

Getting flamed by whackos on a message board is one thing.

We’re talking about having these guys faces, names, home addresses, circulated on the evening news. About gangs of OWS thugs showing up on their front lawn and at their kids’ school to threaten them. About Eric Holder digging DEEP DEEP DEEP into their past tax returns to find some technical violation that can be used to drag them thru the legal gauntlet.

This is gonna get very rough and very brutal. Obama cannot survive unless he has bogeymen to blame.

The bonuses are for HITS year’s profits....

Next year’s lack of profits will bring pink slips.

CBS cannot save these people with Undercover Boss, either.
