A release issued by the Rev. Al Sharpton's National Action Network late Tuesday afternoon indicated that representatives from his local office will speak at a press conference Wednesday "to call for a mechanical and hand re-count of the ballots in ... the West/Murphy race."

I’d like to believe that the Sharpton crew is taking a principled stand to help West out… but I could just as well entertain more cynical speculations that they’re in it to sabotage him.

I’m surprised that Sharpton isn’t asking for a “hand job”.
He screws America every time he can, so why not?
This means things are getting hot for the Democrat. He doesn’t have the numbers and he can’t allow a recount to reveal it.
I know. This would be the first thing I’ve seen him do politically I respect.
Just count the votes fair and square. Especially the early pre Nov 1 votes where 4500 were miscounted.
I would like to believe that, too. I am apprehensive.

Quite a pickle Al is jumping into.
I’m curious to know how many blacks voted for West. This would tell us how much it’s about race vs. policies.
If Al will push thru the recount as described then I will have to say something I thought I would NEVER say —
