This is the game Dem play.
You want to trap them between their liberal base voters and the voters they need in a general election.
Put up really crazy liberal stuff like those ideas you posted and see if they vote for them being scared of a Dem primary challenge. If they do then you nail them in the general.
Make the ideas really stupid to see how stupid they are.
Personally I like the idea of an income tax surcharge on movie stars. For each dollar over $200K they make in movie contract tax them 50%, no 70% of it, just like the 1950s. In fact, tax their whole salary so they make more $$$ at $199K than they do at $200K. That should hit a nerve.
And the money goes to a good cause like PBS which in a way is competition to those Hollywood movies.
Kids shouldnt be watching those trashy movies anyway instead they should be watching global warming science shows on PBS to get ready for the new Obama economy.
