Petraeus testifies that CIA always suspected terrorists in Libya attack
Christian Science Monitor ^ | November 16, 2012 | By Kimberly Dozier, Associated Press

Ex-CIA Director David Petraeus told lawmakers during private hearings Friday that he believed all along that the deadly attack on the US consulate in Libya was a terrorist strike, even though that wasn't how the Obama administration initially described it publicly.

Petraeus told lawmakers that the CIA's draft talking points named specific terrorist groups. But Petraeus said some federal agency changed it to "extremists."

Some federal agency changed it?
Is the CIA in the habit of letting “some federal agency”
change it’s reports?

Baaaah.

'some federal agency changed it to "extremists."'

Sure! Catholic Priest Extremist, Baptist Extremist, Evangelical Extremists, Hebrew Extremist, Tea Party Extremists, Gun Toting NRA Extremists....

The list goes on and on and on.

Just wait for John Kerry to become the U.S. Secretary Of Defense or Secretary of State and there will be even more Extremists to blame like Swift-Boat Navy Personnel who don't like John Kerry.

Well, this is definitely a step in the right direction.

I was afraid he would wimp out all together...but as I keep posting, “Freedom’s just another word for nothing left to lose,” and maybe Obama, by putting pressure on him, actually freed him.

And, although Petraeus has done what a US military man has to do and support whatever administration is in charge, I have always felt that he had some loyalty to the troops, even when some of the policies he implemented were not good. But that may have been why he was not in place under Obama admin for very long...perhaps he was beginning to object and was kicked upstairs.

By then, of course, Obama had the goods on him, but the affair was short-lived and in normal situations wouldn’t be a big problem. But regimes have held much lesser things over the heads of commanding officers.

Remember Boorda, who was being persecuted by Clinton as the fall guy for Tailhook...and then it was “revealed” that he didn’t have the right to wear a particular medal. He actually did have that right, which was “revealed” later, but too late. It was easy for Clinton to get rid of him, because Boorda was the first enlisted man to have risen to that rank and was from an immigrant Jewish family.

Thus Boorda didn’t have powerful defenders, certainly not under Clinton and “Hijab Hillary.”

What is the background of Petraeus? Is he Greek Orthodox or something else Obama can trash easily?

President Obama sent Susan Rice out to spread the “American Made Video” story, disappeared to Las Vegas and to Letterman and Beyonce’s party. Why? Simple. His “Al Quaeda is on the run” narrative HAD to stick with the election coming up and all. - 9/11 DUH! - That old “Freedom of Speech” thing getting attacked in the process was just gravy. “America” getting attacked was just the cherry on top.

So I guess he’s from a Northeast Protestant family (possibly Dutch Reformed?). I don’t think I’ve ever read anything about his religious allegiances, so I’m assuming that he and the lovely leftist Holly probably aren’t active in anything.
