As many as 1000 Service Employees International Union (SEIU) workers at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) are considering going on strike on Thanksgiving eve in what is the busiest travel day of the year.
Andrew Gross-Gaitan, the director of the Southern California Airports Division of SEIU, said the protest would be in response to an LAX contractor that failed to comply with the city’s Living Wage Ordinance.

So instead of enjoying Thanksgiving with their family, the union is telling those with the day off to instead protest in front of their union brothers who are making time and a half holiday wages. Hmmm...makes sense to me! (Sounds like Obama voters)

In Kalifornia, they not only deserve it for all the Illegals they are paying from public money (welfare, food stamps, Medical, education, etc.), but they also allow Unions to extort $100K/yr. salaries for cleaning streets.....
Right, that’s it. Obama will have inherited an awful economic and foreign policy mess, but I’m sure he’ll get it all sorted out very quickly, and prosperity and amity will reign, unless Republicans in Congress engage in destructive partisanship.

Minimum wage was designed for high school and college kids, so they could have a little extra pocket cash. If these people can't do better than SEIU, well, don't blame anyone else. They voted for the party that dumbed them down.
If they strike and harm the company they work for, fire them all. There are people who have a good education and a normal family out there who'd be willing to take any job in this failing obomaconomy.

Actually, according to another account ( LAX Airport Workers Are NOT Striking on Thanksgiving Eve. Seriously. It's Gonna Be OK. ) this is about SEIU being upset because 465 workers voted themselves out of the union and as a result according to a former union member: ...he and his co-workers have left the union, he's making two dollars more an hour. He prefers the different insurance too--it's a PPO, as opposed to the HMO with family benefits he had while he was with the union.
Obamaphone voters are not smart enough to figure out WHO is to blame. Nor do they care. They love to get free stuff, and that is what they are motivated to seek. Free stuff.
No leftist is going to change their mind about socialism because their flight is delayed.
They don’t have jobs to schedule around, and the airlines will give them free coffee or something for their troubles.

A contractor can’t afford to comply with some living wage law, so the SEIU will make sure that some family in LA going to see grandma suffers for it.

When the people start to get fed up with unions, expect police officers, firemen, and teachers to be paraded around as victims of the evil taxpayer and used as an example of why union=good. You don't hate teachers do you? I mean teachers - its for the children.
Besides if it weren't for "skilled union labor" they could hire just anyone to work at LAX and your plane would probably fall out of the sky. You wouldn't want something to happen to Little Timmy while he was flying to Grandmother's house for Winter Holiday Celebration would you?

What’s the big deal? Who in their right mind would be flying to LAX (located in Californicate). I could envision thousands of sane people flying out of LAX with one way tickets to a state of sanity. But if you are in need of a good screwing, then go for it .... first TSA gets their hands on you, the airlines screw you for over priced tickets and absolutely no service and finally Californicate screws you because you are fresh tax meat.
