Don’t skip Christmas — just skip all the shopping. One gift per person only and to hell with commercialism.
Anymore, I enjoy Thanksgiving far more than Christmas. Thanksgiving is just a family time. Christmas has become this high pressure sell budget-busting event that is so time consuming and weighty, you can miss the part about Christ and family.
It is another reason I hate modern American life. Commercialism ruins everything ultimately.
They paved Paradise and put up a parking lot. That is us.
