Why God Can't Get Angry (Video)

If we generally agree that loosing our temper at someone means that we have some more growing up to do, why would we think that God does it?

Quick thoughts on why an angry divine being is mathematically impossible. God is Divine Love and Wisdom and infinite - the source. We are created vessels and receive or breathe what God emanates - what we call the Divine Proceeding or Holy Spirit - the source of everything good.

Evil is the same Spirit twisted and perverted through hell. As recipients, we always have a choice between good and evil. God does not punish but evil has consequences.

Umm... because there’s some pretty harsh punishments meted out by Him in the Old Testament?

God does indeed get angry (ex: Jesus in the Temple with the money-changers).

However, he doesn't lose control ("lose his temper") like we do.

That is an appearance of Truth.

“Losing our temper” and “getting angry” are two different concepts.

Jesus was not the Divine Human, yet when He entered the Temple. He still was a combination of Son of Man and Son of God.

God is of unbounding, deep, merciful Love. He does not hate people but sin. He’s also a God of righteousness and exerts His controlled wrath when He deems it fit and proper.

If we generally agreed about that, you might be right. Since we don’t ... you aren’t. There are times when anger is the only mature response.

Never heard of the “wrath of God”? He flattened quite a few people in the Old Testament. Ever read Revelation? There’s another dose coming.

I got about half way through the video before I got sick of it.

It's just stupid. And it contradicts Scripture.

Wow, waste of four minutes of my time. What, who, why - I don’t get it. Some young dude pulls some out of context quotes about God hating people, and the thread is about anger? Or temper?

What is the point?

The Bible is loaded with discussion of God’s getting angry.

I find it rather amusing when people set themselves up as experts on God’s disposition.

I’m not even going to watch it.
Obviously it contradicts scripture (from the descriptions here), and is simply someone’s attempt to make God in their own image instead of the other way around.

God reveals who He is in Special Revelation, ie, Scripture.
No need to conjecture any further than that.

Unscriptural pap being peddled with this.

God does INDEED get angry and actually metes out HIS WRATH on a disobedient people who call themselves HIS.

Who knows the power of Your anger? For as the fear of You, so is Your wrath. - Psalms 90:11

And the peaceful dwellings are cut down Because of the fierce anger of the Lord. - Jeremiah 25:37

They have provoked Me to jealousy by what is not God; They have moved Me to anger by their foolish idols. But I will provoke them to jealousy by those who are not a nation; I will move them to anger by a foolish nation. - Deuteronomy 32:21

Then the anger of the Lord was aroused against this land, to bring on it every curse that is written in this book. - Deuteronomy 29:27

Arise, O Lord, in Your anger; Lift Yourself up because of the rage of my enemies; Rise up for me to the judgment You have commanded! - Psalms 7:6

O God, why have You cast us off forever? Why does Your anger smoke against the sheep of Your pasture? - Psalms 74:1

Before the decree is issued, Or the day passes like chaff, Before the Lord’s fierce anger comes upon you, Before the day of the Lord’s anger comes upon you! - Zephaniah 2:2

Those were just for starters. There are over 220 direct references to God getting angry. Many reference God pouring out His wrath IN HIS ANGER.

This whole Satanic doctrine of health/wealth God is always happy with us garbage is one of the greatest deception that has taken ahold of the church in this nation.

Note that most of these folks use their own reasoning and deductions to ascribe to God , what His Word in scripture contradicts.

Let us not be blind following the blind.

In His anger, this nation is being judged. God has allowed this people to suffer the consequences of the evil they choose to rule them. Because this people forgot God is a jealous God, and we worshipped men and the state and made government god over us. A people not governed by God, will be ruled by the tyranny of men.

Nonsense!

God has declared his anger too many times to accept this anti-scriptural hogwash.
