That part of the so called fiscal cliff is just the automatic spending cuts part so I see NO reason why Rs should do anything to try to stop those, they made a big deal about how spending was killing us (since 2009 anyway) and they still are saying that, while at the same time whining about how some of these automatic budget cuts (the defense cuts) that they passed in the R house are really bad for the country. These type of mixed-confused messages by them are just making them look stupid.

Repealing those automatic budget cuts would mean that Republicans taking over the House in 2011 was completely meaningless as that bill was their only success. This is so simple.

Now on taxes I expect things to get ugly. I dont look forward to it.

Isn’t it interesting how, according to Reuters, it is Boehner’s comments - - not Pelosi’s, Reid’s, or Ubanga’s comments - - that “show a tough road ahead” for fiscal cliff talks?
