WMass Walmart stores picketed on Black Friday(by activists)

On the biggest shopping day of the year, some people here in western Massachusetts participated in one of the largest protests against Walmart, America’s largest retailer.

At stores in Springfield, Ware, and Northampton, protestors chanted slogans like: “Walmart rich and rude… we don’t like your attitude.” As Black Friday shoppers walked in with their holiday gift shopping lists, they were given flyers from protesters.

The local demonstrations were part of a larger nationwide rally for workers’ rights.

In Northampton, the majority of those rallying were nearby residents and not store employees, though at other locations, employees joined the protests after their shifts.

Many people protesting in Northampton told 22News that they were standing up against Walmart because they say company offers lower-than-average wages, and it's unwilling to let its employees unionize.

Maybe, just maybe, WalMart employees don't want to have $10-20 taken from their paycheck by the Union each week for the privilege to work.

The Black Friday Walmart walkouts are being orchestrated straight out of the White Hut. Van Jones has been planning it for four years.

Once Walmart goes down, the rest of the employers in the country will follow in short order.

Ubama is going to give the unions card-check, and the NLRB is going to force all employers to turn over the names and addresses of all their employees to the unions.

With these two tools, Trumka and his fellow travelers can forge the signatures of employees and unionize any company without the consent of the employer or employees.

And their first target is going to be Walmart and the hundreds of millions of dollars of union dues they will be able to extort for the Democrat campaign-finance slush fund.

Soon, all the workers in the entire country will be paying into the Democrat campaign-finance slush fund through forced union membership and forced union dues.

Labor unions are America’s Communist Party.

“Walmart rich and rude… we don’t like your attitude.”

Fine, don't shop there. Dear protesters, I don't much like your attitude either.

In Northampton, the majority of those rallying were nearby residents and not store employees, though at other locations, employees joined the protests after their shifts.

I see. So it is mostly non Walmart people that are pushing for this. Even those few employees who are participating are continuing to work, rather than walking out, really making a statement. Take a lesson from Hostess, the auto industry, steel industry, etc. etc. A union, any union, will drive your company out of business. They don't exist to "protect workers rights." They exist to draw money and power to themselves, using you. The more they take from you and the company, the less resources your company has to remain competitive, and the dimmer your long-term prospects are.

"they were standing up against Walmart because they say company offers lower-than-average wages, and it's unwilling to let its employees unionize."

Notice they didn't say that Walmart pays minimum wage. Because they usually pay way over that level.

And WTF is "lower-than-average" for a store clerk in any industry?

Next time I hear this I think I will point out that the wages are much, much, lower than the average Union boss, business agent, organizer, etc. who for some reason usually make 75K and up.

Alas, eventually the growing American enthusiasm for the perceived “fairness” of Marxism will prevail, management will go union, and Wal-Mart will begin its slow but inexorable decline toward mediocrity, failure and bankruptcy.
